As I said in another thread, I'd have no issue with the topic if it could be kept to one thread. For a time it was only in the JK Rowling thread which was fine, because then I could easily avoid it, but recently there have been multiple topics and it's shoe-horned into threads that have nothing to do with trans issues.

I can see a scenario where a few DL threads have been linked in a topic like I've mentioned and they've been outraged and decided to come here with their brigading. The downvoting of any posts they disagree with to get the poster silenced for a day or two is classic in a co-ordinated brigading attempt.

No, the anti-trans threads almost always have no one posting in them EXCEPT the anti-trans trolls. They're using them as an echo chamber, and to link to them from other forums and social media.

Regular DLers put the OPs and threads on ignore all the time, that's why the OP of anti-trans threads get grayed out so often. Like others already said, the anti-trans trolls are straight ladies who are homophobic, so DLers just avoid them. Every so often you'll see one of their troll threads with plenty of DLers telling them off, at which point the anti-trans trolls get spooked and run off for a few hours or even days.

Just in general, "agree with everything a troll says" is really stupid advice.
