Blaze Bernstein’s killer

Is a frightening aspie piece of self loathing shit! Look at his eyes. Manson had more warmth in his eyes. I hope he get life without in a hard time prison . His lawyers are using his autism as a defense excuse. This guy is dangerous.

He looks like a cave man

by Anonymousreply 1January 2, 2022 1:12 AM

I remember discussing that poor kid's murder on DL. I can't believe it hasn't gone to trial yet.

by Anonymousreply 2January 2, 2022 1:19 AM

[post redacted because independent.co.uk thinks that links to their ridiculous rag are a bad thing. Somebody might want to tell them how the internet works. Or not. We don't really care. They do suck though. Our advice is that you should not click on the link and whatever you do, don't read their truly terrible articles.]

Horrifying. FOUR years after his murder and it still hasn't gone to trial.

by Anonymousreply 4January 2, 2022 1:26 AM

He's hot, therefore he had a good reason for anything he did and we're all past it by now.

by Anonymousreply 5January 2, 2022 1:27 AM

Bernstein was such a beautiful creative soul. I was quite familiar with his Tumblr postings. He featured some really fine art, and heartfelt inspirational posts. I think it’s been taken offline awhile now, yet he made an impression upon me despite being so young. If I were more adept at posting pics to a hosting site, I’d share some of his art.

One that I’ve kept a screenshot of was a wild, and lush floral arrangement with the words “ It takes guts to be gentle and kind”. I’ve borrowed that line more than a few times here, and I’d like to give him credit for it.

RIP Blaze

by Anonymousreply 6January 2, 2022 1:27 AM

R3 The fact that fucking repulsive troll Stephen Port, one of the ugliest men I have ever seen, was able to bag young, attractive men remains an absolute jawdropping mystery to me.

by Anonymousreply 7January 2, 2022 1:33 AM

Morrissey actually wrote that line, R6.

by Anonymousreply 8January 2, 2022 1:35 AM

Can you post that screenshot, r6?

by Anonymousreply 9January 2, 2022 1:36 AM

There’s a Lake Forest in California?

by Anonymousreply 10January 2, 2022 1:38 AM

R8 Thanks for proper props. It’s a beautiful line, and mad respect to Morrissey, despite his metamorphosis, but the art as well as the post belonged to Blaze. I got teared up remembering it. I need to MARY! myself.

R9 I haven’t a clue as to how, but if anyone kind enough to provide advice and directions; I shall gladly oblige.

by Anonymousreply 11January 2, 2022 1:41 AM

Killer is gross looking

by Anonymousreply 12January 2, 2022 1:56 AM

Now that my fifty-three year-old luddite brain is remembering Morrissey’s lyrics, I reckon in a song I have forgotten the title, went “It takes [italic] strength [/italic] to be gentle and kind. It would appear Blaze put his own twist on it. Guts are lacking in so many… perhaps that’s why he made such the impression upon me.

Even so, it was the totality of his posts that were really something. He was a wise and gentle soul.

by Anonymousreply 13January 2, 2022 1:56 AM

R13 - later in the song (“I know it’s over”), it *does* say “guts”. Just saying. 🤷🏻

Your emotional reaction to his works is really touching (no snark!!) ❤️

by Anonymousreply 14January 2, 2022 2:13 AM

R14 Cheers mate. It’s been an awfully long time since listening to The Smiths. They had a similar impression on me at the time. I was much younger then, and perhaps a better person. You know, less jaded, more innocent. It breaks my heart that this fine young lad met this fate meeting up with this killer. I know it’s a trite cliché, but Blaze seemed very special to me. Who knows the type of man the world has lost, if he were allowed to grow up. It just makes me want to cry.

So many of us could have easily been him meeting someone off the beaten path we adored and fancied.

by Anonymousreply 15January 2, 2022 2:20 AM

From everything I read and watched, Blaze Bernstein seemed like someone anyone could have fallen in love with, not unlike Tyler Clementi, the Rutgers freshman who jumped off the George Washington Bridge after his roommate secretly videotaped him having sex with a guy and posted it online.

by Anonymousreply 16January 2, 2022 2:25 AM

R16 So true.

by Anonymousreply 17January 2, 2022 2:39 AM

R15 (&R16, fwiw) - I was a sixteen-year-old misfit when “The Queen Is Dead” came out in 1986. I bought the LP in Liverpool one summer afternoon right after it came out and it ended up meaning so much to me. “love is natural and real / but not for such as you and I, my love”…

Thank you for keeping this young guy in your heart and telling us about him here. (MARY!!)

I Hope Woodward is housed in the toughest prison in California. His crime warrants that. It’s technically a death penalty crime .

by Anonymousreply 19January 3, 2022 2:14 PM

R18 Much obliged. Thanks for that brief trip down memory lane with your link.

by Anonymousreply 20January 3, 2022 10:30 PM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 21January 3, 2022 10:53 PM

Blaze would have made a serious contribution to our world . His murderer is scum of hell

by Anonymousreply 22January 3, 2022 10:54 PM

Why would someone like Blaze be friends with a guy like that? They seem like opposites.

by Anonymousreply 23January 3, 2022 11:02 PM

R23 He had a crush on him. Opposites attract all the time. It doesn't mean they were friends really. He was betrayed by this monster in the worst possible way. I don't call that a friend.

We can remember him below, and learn more about him if we like. The Bernstein family have set up a foundation as well, which I'll link next.

Another victim of ruff trade..

by Anonymousreply 27January 3, 2022 11:42 PM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 31January 4, 2022 12:18 AM

To be fair if he was cheerful in court while facing murder charges you'd call that a another sort of psychosis

by Anonymousreply 32January 4, 2022 1:01 AM

He looks like Lurch...on the Addams Family. Creepy and scary. He has the face of a killer.

by Anonymousreply 33January 4, 2022 12:23 PM

Aaah. He loved to cook, to eat. It breaks my heart I'll never get to take him to Eppes Essen (Livingston, NJ) for a Sloppy Joe.
