Google says yes, but is this a new development? Has he always been immortal? Comic gays, any thoughts?
Is Superman Immortal?

If Kryptonians were immortal, wouldn't they have all survived when their planet was destroyed?

He finds recordings of his family when he comes of age and they present as much older, wiser beings.
Unless his people are like lobsters without a dna death switch, there's some aging process.

no. could be immortal with our earth’s sun rays theoretically but..
Superman ages so he must die but at a slower rate than humans was my understanding. I’d say he’s supermortal; not immortal. he has weaknesses and can die.

From what I remember, the older he gets the slower he ages.

If Superman can be killed by kryptonite, how can he be considered immortal. He just ages better than the lowly earthlings.

most conflate immortal and invicible.
r1 kryptonians, originally, only developed omega level powers on earth while on their own planet it was just really advanced that they would have been considered "super" by the rest of the universe... but the lore even in the original run has been murky to his alien superpowers especially as kryptonite came into greater story use and then later iterations of the variety of kryptonite
but also people can't separate the difference between invicible and immortal.
the science geek section has shifted a lot over several decades - some believed they would age slower because of "space" and assuming their planet is quite different from earth, hence, having powers on earth.... like one theory was their planet had to have aggressive gravity to account for their abilities on other worlds - but science ruled that one out.
so, the lore changed...
you know people don't get as much of a science boner when it comes to supergirl. they bring in all fantasy and nobody gives a shit but add one dick and nobody will shutup about science, physics and biological facts.
so, immortal, invicible, none of that matters because we know the real truth.
superman is a trans woman.
there's no other reason why people would give a fuck about all this nerd shit

There have been so many sets of bodacious superman tits, that I'm willing to tell R7,
"J'accuse; HERETIC!!! SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH!"

He's always copying me. I once caught him trying on my star-spangled panties.

Depends on the writer.

He certainly wasn't immortal when Doomsday killed him...

Immortality and invincibility are not the same thing.
Immortality = Will he die from old age? Under a yellow sun, he won't.
Invincible = Can he be hurt? It takes a lot (Doomsday) or something special (kryptonite/magic from a magic user like Zatanna) but he can be. He's nearly invincible but not completely.

No, he isn't. In fact, there are some stories featuring an older Clark Kent, like Kingdom Come.

He's actually aging in current continuity. He's presently on a suicide mission and not expected to return. His...queer son Jon is the current Superman.

If he's immortal on Earth, then this is his hell.
