This scene is from 2003, but has stuck with me all these years because it was so dramatic and shocking to see a suicide portrayed this way on tv.

This one of my favorite TV episodes of all time. The acting and music were superb. Touching without being sappy.

This ruined Rocketman for me. I’m a crybaby, but almost never have I BAWLED as much as I did when I first saw this. For a good 10yrs after this, I’d tear up just hearing Rocketman on the radio. Only when the movie came out did I start associating the song with something other than this show—good thing, since it turns up in Nathan Chen’s free skate!
