Brad Pitt had some interesting roles before becoming famous. But anyway, anyone else see the comparisons?
Is Johnny Bravo based off Johnny Suede (1991) starring Brad Pitt?

I think the first movie I saw with Brad Pitt was Cool World.
But what was the film that really established him as a star? Was it Interview With the Vampire?

No r1. It was Thelma & Louise. Everyone knows this.

R2, he had a supporting role in that. I would say that’s when he came to more mainstream attention, but I don’t think that established him as a box office leading man yet.

Did Brad Pitt have the career that Maxwell Caulfield should have had? They’re four years apart, but they had similar looks as far as being the handsome blonde guys.

R3 yes, it was a supporting role that shot him to superstardom.

It is said Johnny Suede's hair did inspire Johnny Bravo's hair - not sure if it's true tho - because I doubt Johnny Suede was the first character to have a cartoony pompadour. But it is possible, the timing works out. The concept of Johnny Bravo started out as the character being an Elvis Impersonator - it morphed from there. So the hair would be the only reference to Johnny Suede.
Found a link saying Johnny Bravo creator's student/thesis film that J Bravo was based off featured an Elvis Impersonator with a way high pompadour, tho it was black. No mention of Johnny Suede. Pics at link.

Something is based on something else not based off.

Wasn’t "Johnny Bravo" Greg Brady's pop star alter ego? You know, cuz he fit the jacket.

The name Johnny Bravo was taken from The Brady Bunch episode, R9. Tho, the creator of the cartoon's middle name is also Bravo.
