I don't know anything about her personal life but she is a good actress and she's managed to be a leading lady for her whole career and for someone who quite frankly isn't that attractive, it's pretty impressive.

I haven't checked IMDb, but isn't SATC pretty much her whole career?

There's a list of top ten ugliest actresses on YouTube which is heinous in itself, but I felt awful when they revealed her as number one. And Tori Spelling as only number two. She's way more fug. Also South Park called SJP ugly too and one of their creators isn't really in a position to call out anyone else on their looks given how bald and fat he's gotten.

She's a Centaur. They are awesome creatures.

R10, she worked as a child, a teen and in movies up until SaTC. She seemed to have a lot of goodwill and a name which got her the part and a producing gig. But Carrie is unlikeable

She’s had a film, television, stage, and derby career. She has hung on!

She's been "looking Japanese" for awhile---she's definitely had an eye job. Why she hasn't been using botox for the forehead is beyond me.

I think she’s pretty & sexy & fun. I never understood the horse thing although the jokes, at their very best, are almost funny 😆

She makes herself look worse. She's adopted the human gristle approach to her weight, when a few more pounds might soften her up. She emphasises her beady eyes with her make up and her occasional insistence on pulling back her hair so severely, then she overwhelms herself with that Lion King meets Real Housewives mane she insists on when she's got the hair down. And then you get to the bag lady meets UES consignment fashion sense.

She's not unattractive and can look really cute... straight hair suits her, shorter hair suits her, more relaxed up dos even suit her. She's got a charming giggle, a lovely sounding voice, she's not a bad actress within her range. But, man, she seems to go out of her way to make choices to make herself look as bad as she possibly can, from her friends to her curb appeal. Maybe it's a case of too many people telling her what she wants to hear or what they think she wants to hear. Maybe it's a case of nothing's wrong with be fifty, unless you're acting twenty.

People won't buy it. She looks more like a horse than many actual horses.

I don’t think she’s a bad person. But she surrounds herself with people like Andy and John Benjamin Hickey who themselves only hang with other famous people. Tells you something.

Side note: she was my neighbor for many years until recently. In the late 2000s I chuckled to watch her switch to small hybrids to ferry her around town. At the time I said, give it a few years of performative conservation and she will revert to gas guzzlers. Sure enough, within two or three years she was back to the big Lincoln Navigators and such… often two so one could carry her clothes or something. People like that who convince themselves they’ve done enough and revert to form make me shake my head.

She hasn't remade her face like the Karjenners have. Even Angelina is meant to have had just about everything redone and the pictures seem to bear that out. So why do people rip on her features? SHOULD she have have a gradual but complete makeover so she looked more conventionally attractive? Or is it just that her character behaved as though she was fabulously beautiful? Apart from Kim C, who has had any beef with her? Wasn't she considered attractive at the start of SaTC, but playing the most unlikeable character of the quartet annoyed people? In real life she dated Robert Downey Jr, JFK Jr, married Matthew Broderick. She was considered attractive when she starred in movies with Steve Martin and Nicholas Cage? But the hate seemed to start as Carrie wore on people's nerves. Also, SJP being the star when Kim was sexier and funnier and the brunette playing Charlotte was prettier?
