R2 of course vaccines work, what an astoundingly ignorant thing to say. They’ve been *extremely* effective at preventing serious disease and death; more so than we might have hoped. Doesn’t mean you won’t get the virus —particularly with the new variant—but it means your body will easily fight it off to the extent you may well not even know that you have it.

Anyone who feels like they need to go on a cruise (a floating petri dish!) in the middle of a pandemic deserves to get long Covid.

Always one or two pharma PR people hyperbolicaly extolling the virtues of their product, because they don't want to burden the masses with reality: that people are still ending up in hospital and dying from Covid. But it's the only thing we can offer the masses at this point, until we learn more about the behavior of the virus. In the meantime, the only thing that will 100% for sure keep you healthy is wearing a mask in ALL enclosed spaces.

The Daily Mail reported today that the Il Divo guy had the JnJ vaccine. It's still unknown if he had the booster. So it shouldn't he a surprise if he got covid and only had one JNJ shot.

But the overwhelming majority of the hospitalized and dead are NOT vaccinated.
