Many times! Not one had a premonition I was going to show up.

There was someone on here years ago that did readings for the posters here. He was crazy accurate. I seem to recall he was a student at the time. I don’t recall him being around in recent years. When he read me he said things about stuff that hadn’t happened yet. It wasn’t outrageous. Just not my reality at the time. I will be damned if the stuff he said didn’t come to pass.

Didn’t any of you see the movie “Paycheck?” There’s three basic premises why you shouldn’t dabble with psychics.

I had a weird experience on a dance floor decades ago where I was quite certain the guy was reading my mind, could see my future very clearly, and was smiling and he looked amazed, waving his hand and pointing up, up up…

but wouldn’t tell me because of this!

When I was driving a cab in Chicago during the Great Recession, I had a fare who answered her cell phone and pretended she was doing a tarot card reading. Which as she was sitting next to me in the front seat, as she was too fat to fit in the back seat of a Crown Vic, I could see that she was most assuredly not doing. She told the woman on the other end of the phone that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

I did, one time. She was the real thing and I only went based on her reputation. She spoke in very specific and concrete terms and some of things things she told me didn't make sense to me at the time.

Every single thing she told me was 100% accurate at the time and 15 years in the future. I don't think she's still alive, but if she were I'd seek her out for a second consultation.

My feeling is that 99% of these psychics are frauds, but if you can connect with the 1% you will be blown away and believe (not understand; believe).

BTW- she lived in a trailer and charged $5 per reading, but I gave her $20 and a jar of pickles. She appreciated it.

I saw one in 2013, I had a 20% off coupon. He told me things would be rough for the next several months, then spent most of the rest of it lecturing me and giving career advice. It was more like seeing a life coach than a psychic.

a family friend gave me a reading. It was very bleak. Towards the end I am not sure what she saw but started to panic and said but don't worry there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was 25 and am now 72. She was right about everything but I never lost hope because I knew she could have been wrong. I felt at the time that she was either lying about the light or the light at the end of the tunnel was my death. This was not a reading other psychics would have given as it was way too depressing and most are trained not to do that and to focus on the positive things.

I went to another who was from Lily Dale but when he saw me he said he couldn't read me so he told me things about my sister and a friend. I know he could read me but just saw awful things that were coming so chose not to tell me.

You have to find a real one, usually in larger cities there are paramornal research societies, ask them they will point you in the right direction.

I did about six months ago and everything has come true except a couple of little things that probably won't pan out for a couple of years. It really amazed me how she nailed the personalities of my relatives that I asked her about. I had a list of questions and we just went through them. She didn't just give me yes or no's. She would add context to the answer and these little details all came about exactly the way she said they would. She gave me a lot of peace of mind.

I have consulted a medium, at Lily Dale in Casadaga, NY, as it happens, who mostly channeled messages from my father and grandmother. He used phrases and relayed things I had heard before from these two, now deceased, influences. It was the real deal, I have zero doubt. While I'd hoped for more "advice" from beyond, I found hearing these things very comforting. It was like being in a room with them again, though I could only listen, and not ask questions. As far as "advice" went, he quoted Eckhart Tolle quite a bit, whom I had recently started reading anyway. "A New Earth" is a very powerful self-help book, and offers wonderful insights into our collective consciousness, our changing world, and finding our individual place in it.

I saw this doc a few years back and have always been fascinated with Lily Dale. For R19

Lily Dale is a Spiritualist hotbed full of psychic mediums They do training there and retreats. I trained as a Spiritualist medium for several years. After a while you begin to see that there is a kernel of connection and truth in every message but most mediums just aren't that good. And there is also a lot of ego involved sometimes. How many people can master playing the piano or sing beautifully? Same thing with mediumship. There are a few exceptional ones in any community tho.

I should add that I stopped development as I didn't want to be a platform medium. And also it is a lot like being a therapist sometimes and I didn't feel comfortable in that role. There are a lot of fragile people looking for answers, also even resilient people don't always get the answer they want which can be upsetting as well.

There are those that are expert at "reading" people even without asking them any questions. Think a truly skilled HR manager or an excellent matchmaker. Yes I've met a few whom even without a formal education were very accurate.

Best psychics don't ask any question beyond your 1st name. Upon giving my name, I was immediately told that I'd stated my middle name and in fact had a different 1st name which was similar to a traditional boy's name.

All true and accurate of only a very small per cent of the US population. So was what I was told, ie very specific info applicable only to me.

Unfortunately I'm not able to recontact the expert psychics I've had, none of whom (including the previous one) accepted money for their talents.

R9, the experience on the dance floor- YES I was high, but the guy was about ten feet away from me dancing in a noisy club, yet it was like having a conversation in a quiet room. I didn’t understand what was happening at first and thought over and over, “OMG how terrible it would be to be able to read minds so easily”. It was more of an energy connection and he could read easier than I could because I kept fighting it. It is a two way channel psychics use but there are ways to block it. HE told me- think the color “orange” when you believe that someone is nefariously reading your mind or you want to block them.

I’ll explain it like this- imagine everything you think about sits on your mind like silverware,glasses and plates on a table. I’ve had experiences as a hairdresser where I’ve pulled the name of a town or person quite literally out of thin air and startled a client. Not often though. At th e time I was depressed and trying to escape heartache, and simply didn’t understand why my ex broke up with me and he really didn’t give a good reason.

The other guy was able to look at me but just like sitting across a table was able to see the settings in my mind, or my thoughts very differently. Through everything I experienced (I met his other dalliances and saw a photo of his ex) he basically explained I was way too tall!

My ex wanted someone shorter than me- so he would appear the dominate one socially.

It really was that simple but was an unacceptable for me to understand at the time, LOL

I’m the poster that made the “Paycheck” quotes and very much believe in String theory, where all outcomes sit alongside each other.

So a real deal psychic would understand the reading itself would significantly influence the person’s future good/bad yet the reading.be very much part of the future as well because none of it would happen this particular way without the reading.

A deliberate choice NOT to get a reading is yet another choice. I do believe there are real psychics out there but the smart ones recognize the responsibility they have.

Not now. Before I found Christ trough religion I often played the quija board an could predict some things accurately. But now I understand that demon's have an extraordinary ability to accurately calculate an outcome and pas this through to people that are under their dominion.

According to xtian religion there isn't a 'natural psychic gift' it's all demonic. But if you don't believe in God anything goes I guess.

I may be mistaken but we are not talking here about gifts that are given by the Holly ghost to those people who are living in communion with the spirit. But about people doing divination on their own accord.
