So the system in Chile is such that the two candidates in the final election were from the extremes. The other candidate was a real Nazi (as in his father actually was a Nazi w/swastikas etc.)... much more fascist that even Bolsinaro or Trump. So this is a victory for democracy. Good news.

Bernie Sanders is pretty tame everywhere other than the U.S. People want something, anything, different, and are willing to vote for parties further left or right than normal.
