Police: Shopping Cart Killer arrested after killing at least Four Women in Virginia
A D.C. man known as the "shopping cart killer" — an alleged serial killer in Virginia — is in custody after authorities believe they have linked four murders to him. And there could be more victims. The announcement comes after a body was found in a wooded area in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County earlier this week. The suspect serial killer, 35-year-old Anthony Eugene Robinson of Washington, D.C., was charged with two recent homicides in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Human remains were found Wednesday, Dec. 15 in an isolated wooded area near a Target shopping cart in the 2400 block of Fairhaven Avenue in northern Virginia. The woman is believed to be 29-year-old Cheyenne Brown. Although police said they don't have 100% identification yet, they believe a tattoo on the woman's body identifies her. One other female victim remains unidentified.
"The reason why we're not waiting to share this information, waiting until we get positive 100% DNA or dental verification... is because we believe that there may be other victims in the area and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. And we need to act now," Davis said.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE ALLEGED "SHOPPING CART KILLER"
Authorities say the suspect found his victims on dating sites and then met them at area motels. He met at least two victims at the Moon Inn, located in the 6100 Richmond Highway in Fairfax County.

Davis said he then inflicted trauma on his victims, before killing them.
"He transports their bodies to their final resting place literally in a shopping cart," Davis added.

Why did he kill those shopping carts?
Probably always got the one with the wonky wheel.

I just read an article about how the myth of the “big black violent criminal raping and killing women” no longer exists.

My story tonight on the victims of "the shopping cart killer." I spoke with the mother of one of the victims. She just had to identify the remains of her daughter this week. "God he brought her home but not the way we wanted." Sharing her story in hopes of saving others.

I somehow have missed the CNN breaking news alerts, the outcry of race equity outrage and the nighttime street protests across the nation. Or does that begin later today? Asking for a white, Asian, Native American and Latino friend….

The killer is hot in a Treasure Island Media actor kind of way. Like a mean, dirty thug, that knows how to make love.

We should let him off the hook since he’s black. Otherwise, the peaceful protestors will burn down their own neighborhoods to make a point.

He obviously is haggard in that pic, but I bet he cleans up nicely. He has nice features. It always chills me when attractive people do heinous things because it makes me feel I could be vulnerable to their evil acts

These people always leave shopping carts in their neighborhoods instead of returning them to the supermarket.

What an awful way to end up. In a container in a shopping cart.

No, Rose. Sex worker means the nurse who determines what sex the baby is.

I don't think these women were hookers. One was in her mid 50s. The other two were mothers of young children. One of them had 6 kids.
It was "off" for him to take them to a motel afterwards. Maybe he lied and said he lived with roommates and the motel was the only way to have privacy. Maybe he drugged them during dinner before going to the motel.

Most women would not go to a motel.

The sister of one of the victims said her sister was in a motel room next to the defendant. She was a grandmother and seemed to be a random victim

It is not apparent that the DC victim was a sex worker

DCist: Police are investigating the death of a D.C. woman that may be linked to an alleged serial killer who is suspected of killing four women in Virginia.
Speaking at a press conference Friday, Fairfax County Police Major Ed O’Carroll said authorities received a tip that Anthony Robinson, 35, may be connected to the death of a woman whose body was found in a shopping cart near Union Station in D.C. in September. Davis said “digital evidence” puts Robinson, who is currently being held at the Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, in the vicinity of the woman around the time she disappeared.

Other notable examples of African American serial killers.

Paul Durousseau was responsible for the rape and murders of seven women between 1997 and 2003. Craig Price murdered 4 people in Rhode Island during the late 1980s. Mark Goudeau raped and murdered 9 women in Phoenix, Arizona in 2005 and 2006. Eugene Victor Britt killed eleven women in Gary, Indiana. Ivan Hill is responsible for at least 9 murders in Los Angeles. He is currently on death row. Between 1986 and 1987, Philadelphia native Harrison Graham murdered seven women. Anthony McKnight became known as the “East Bay Slayer” after he murdered 5 women in Oakland between October 1985 and January 1986. Shelly Andre Brooks raped and murdered 7 sex workers in Detroit between 2001 and 2006. Charles Lendelle Carter in Georgia pleaded guilty to 3 murders. However, experts believe that he may have been responsible for more. Matthew Macon confessed to murdering 7 women in Michigan. More recently, in December of 2021, police in Washington D.C. arrested Anthony Robinson on suspicion of being the Shopping Cart Killer.

There’s another one in upstate NY, can’t remember his name, but he was a Haitian immigrant and I remember he kept the bodies lying around the house and the whole neighborhood stank. They attributed the smell to a sausage factory. I still don’t understand how his family ignored the dead bodies, apparently they weren’t good housekeepers.
