The best, most iconic moments in film history

The Fallow the Yellow Brick Road scene in The Wizard of Oz, specially the high angle shot starting at 2:10 all thru the end.

The moment Dorothy, the Munchkins and even the fucking dog go down the yellow brick road in unison gives you chills. Great, iconic moment.

That particular road was quite fallow.

My partner likes to watch Silence of the Lambs once a year. It always works because each scene is so good and just flows into the next "no wait, this part is great" scene.

Ha! After Glinda kisses Dorothy on the forehead she accidentally hits her crown with her wand, it even makes a noise! In all four thousand viewings of the film, I'm just noticing it now. It happens at 0:54 in the clip above.

Bette Davis's character in "Now Voyager" walking towards the train while the train reflections reflects on her in the light.

I always loved that old TCM promo they use to run and that scene was in there.

One of my favorite Bette Davis Films.

Faye's head on the steering wheel horn in Chinatown. It's been stolen a hundred times since, but never lands as it did then.

Regan’s head spinning around, right after the infamous crucifix scene. I saw it around age 10, edited Tv version. My mother warned me what was coming (obviously the crucifix wasn’t aired on TV). Even knowing her head was going to spin, when it actually did, I felt myself either starting to leave my body, or lose consciousness, I’m not sure which!

Ape throws bone into the air in slow motion. Cut to space station in deep outer space.

Centuries of human progress epitomised in one second. Unforgettable genius.

When Arnold gives the thumbs up as he melts down in Terminator 2 in order to protect Eddie Furlong.

My 13 year old self bawled his big gay eyes out.

The famous "under swing" tracking shot from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974). It appears to make the house grow larger and more menacing, while Pam becomes smaller, and is visually consumed by the house.

The scene in the movie "Jaws" when Robert Shaw / Quint describes the ordeal survivors suffered after the USS Indianapolis was torpedoed.
