Very good documentary on serial killers in the late 70s in LA. First episode on the Hillside Strangler.

I live in LA and was a kid when this all was happening. It seemed so far away then, but now I recognize all the locations

I just saw this advertised. Is it any good?

Yep, very good. It really goes into detail about serial killers in LA in the late 70s. And there were a lot of them. One worst than the next: hillside strangler, dating game killer, highway killer, toolbox killer, skidrow killer

Do they cover the Sunset Strip killers? Those two were particularly heinous.

How scary it must've been to be in the city when it was the serial killer capital of the world.

No r10. They concentrated on the late 70s. Which seemed to be the peak serial killer time.

R10 forgot to mention, if you want to watch a comprehensive documentary on the Manson murders, watch Helter Skelter: An American Myth on Epix
Or for a great podcast, listen to: you must remember this: Manson

After seeing the success of Netflix's Night Stalker and Elisa Lam documentaries, Hulu went right in on capitalizing on the LA murder genre.
