She was charged back in September and it took nearly three months to come out. Interesting. I guess reporters started looking through area court dockets it to see if other Duggars fell afoul of the law.

Other interesting thing: She had to be reported. It seems she only lives/exists in the cult environment, so who could the reporter be? They're homeschooled, so school personnel is out of the question. Maybe a cult member who isn't fully brainwashed taking advantage of anonymous reporting? I assume they take their kids to doctors for basic medical care. Maybe a health care worker saw bruising or marks? Does that "blanket training" technique they use on infants involve physical punishment?

Blanket training is putting a baby on the floor, on a blanket, and smacking them with a long glue stick or flexible ruler or every time they try to crawl off the blanket. It's considered successful when the baby has lost the will to move.

Jana wasn't married the last time their show was on. I haven't seen anything about her getting married either in the tabloids. This is Arkansas so to be charged with this suggests that either what she did was very serious or it's political. (There are so many people doing horrible things to children who never get charged.) I guess we'll find out in January.

Must the obvious need to be explained? The Duggars and their fake saintliness finally caught up with them. This is weird, I feel like there's more to this. Jana says that child welfare visited and concluded it was an accident - as well as that she wasn't arrested. Yet she's going to court in January for this and could be convicted.

I don’t like this family but there is either more to this story or this is unfair overkill.

Admittedly I haven't paid close attention but Jana is the only Duggar I've seen wear pants - there are pictures on her instagram of her wearing jeans as well as black pants. So she's clearly not 100% following their weird cult's rules. I do have to wonder if she is doing the stay at home help thing because she's a lesbian and can't face having sex with a man but also can't break away completely.

Just speculating.

Jinger wears pants and jeans all the time. Then again, she escaped with her husband to L.A. about 5 years ago and has pretty much kept a distance from many in her family.
