Rand Paul: Chris Cuomo firing "a small step toward CNN regaining any credibility"

This clown.

And there you have it.

Republicans are already gloating.

As if they would EVER watch CNN.

But CNN still does the step-n-fetchit for Republicans, every single time.

by Anonymousreply 1December 5, 2021 3:04 PM

Who cares what Rand Paul thinks?

by Anonymousreply 2December 5, 2021 3:05 PM

How? I don't get Paul's logic. CNN fired him which was the right thing to do and it only raises or confirms CNN's credibility in my view. Would Fox News do the same thing?

by Anonymousreply 3December 5, 2021 3:08 PM

[quote] How? I don't get Paul's logic.

CNN, or any other “news” outlet, should never have allowed Chris Cuomo to report on politics with his brother as governor. All objectivity was lost.

by Anonymousreply 4December 5, 2021 3:18 PM

R4 And yet Fox News does it too:

[quote]Then-presidential candidate George W. Bush's cousin, John Prescott Ellis, was Fox News' projection team manager during the 2000 presidential election. After speaking numerous times on election night with his cousins George and Jeb,[26] Ellis, at 2:16 AM, reversed Fox News' call for Florida as a state won by Al Gore. Critics allege this was a premature decision, given the impossibly razor-thin margin (officially 537 of 5.9 million votes),[27] which created the "lasting impression that Bush 'won' the White House – and all the legal wrangling down in Florida is just a case of Democratic 'snippiness'."

by Anonymousreply 5December 5, 2021 3:24 PM

Exactly, R5.

The difference is that corporate media always holds Democrats to a higher standard.

And Democrats always eat their own.

Then they wonder why they always lose elections, and this country has gone down the toilet.

by Anonymousreply 6December 5, 2021 3:25 PM

I don't think there is any way CNN will ever regain its credibility.

by Anonymousreply 7December 5, 2021 3:26 PM

You can’t compare CNN and Fox News. The latter tolerates (encourages?) all sorts of unethical behavior on behalf of its “journalists.”

That doesn’t mean CNN should accept that for themselves.

by Anonymousreply 8December 5, 2021 3:26 PM

It's not about logic r3, it's just a Republican gloating that a Democrat was fired from a network that his Q-loon supporters think is the "Communist News Network."

by Anonymousreply 9December 5, 2021 3:28 PM

Sorry you guys but I do think that you CAN compare CNN and Fox News. They are sort of equivalent prominent media on opposite sides. Whether you think they cancel each other out or not is a matter of debate.

by Anonymousreply 10December 5, 2021 3:34 PM

CNN is just the propaganda mouthpiece of the DNC.

by Anonymousreply 11December 5, 2021 3:37 PM

It's comments like R11 that just proves why CNN never should have fired Chris.

Deplorable MAGATs don't give a flying fuck about CNN.

They just want CNN to fire any Democratic leaning journalists, because it works to their benefit.

And CNN always does their Deplorable MAGAT bidding. Always.

by Anonymousreply 12December 5, 2021 3:39 PM

R10: CNN is center-right in its political leanings. It is not the opposite of Fox Nazi News. Stop being obtuse, dear.

by Anonymousreply 13December 5, 2021 3:39 PM

R5, there is a difference. At 2:16 am Florida polls were closed. The only thing affected with a wrong report would have been the reliability of Fox News.

With CNN having the brother of the governor as a major news reporter, it guaranteed that for eight years, CNN wasn’t going to file many negative reports on the governor. And we see the effect of that by CNN not seriously reporting on all the old people Gov Cuomo killed by sending them back to Covid infected nursing homes.

by Anonymousreply 14December 5, 2021 3:40 PM

God, he looks like someone put his face in the microwave on high and it started melting

by Anonymousreply 15December 5, 2021 9:00 PM

Sure, you can compare CNN and Fox. When CNN learns an employee has abused his position and might be a sex pest, it fires him. Fox encourages poor ethics. When it learns an employee is definitely a sex pest, it keeps him on staff, willing to pay out huge settlements time after time.

by Anonymousreply 16December 6, 2021 12:02 AM

I don’t know about you, but I always thought Randall Paul has one of THE most punchable faces, ever. And we all know there are millions of them out there.

by Anonymousreply 17December 6, 2021 8:54 PM

[quote] When CNN learns an employee has abused his position and might be a sex pest, it fires him

According to Cuomo, CNN head Zucker knew everything months ago. The reason Cuomo got fired is because it became public.

by Anonymousreply 18December 6, 2021 11:18 PM

R13 center right?? Are you insane?

They handled this so poorly, however. If it was really an issue CC should have just taken a leave of absence until Cuomo resigned.

That counterfeit sack of shit
