Do your own damn research OP, Florida might be doing best because earlier this year they were the worst in the nation and this virus seems to go from high to low. Desantis was not bragging when they were the worst.

This again? Every few months they claim Florida is doing great, but the truth is that they're just not reporting cases accurately.

I remember at one point last year one of these articles came out and when I checked, even by their own lower numbers, they were doing really poorly compared to almost every other state. It's just propaganda. Not sure what it's supposed to achieve, honestly, except it's probably just DeSantis prepping for a presidential run.

Well, I live in Florida and the vacation, travel and hospitality business' in the state are grateful for the work.

Right now Florida has the least amount of covid among the 50 States. That's according to the NYT but maybe they fudged their figures. Florida is pretty high among fully vaxxed people because of all the old people. I think it relates to the amount of time spent outdoors wherre Covid doesn't spready that easily.

I find it ironic that a state is full of enough vaccinated seniors to make a difference. But, if it could it would be Florida. Who knew?

It’s no longer the dog days of summer in Fla. They’re spending less time inside in central A/C. (You cannot spend much time outdoors in that state during summer; it’s lethal.) They had serious waves of previous infection.

These are the reasons why their numbers are so low now.

Is there fudging involved? Maybe, but how to prove it? And fudging the numbers to the point that they artificially appear to be doing the best of all 50 states doesn’t seem like something that could go unnoticed.

Florida is #14 in the nation when it comes to cumulative cases per capita. I don't think they can brag when 36 states have fared better.

I live in Florida and I have said the same thing for two years; cases skyrocketed here during the last two summers because people spend most of their time indoors to get out of the heat. Its the exact inverse of what occurs during the winter in the northern states. It has little do with actual measures taken by our jackass governor.
