Anti-Vaxx Nurses Complain About How They’re Treated

Hey Becca, you’re being treated like scum because you are you stupid cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 1, 2021 1:34 PM |
Personally I don't think those working in hospitals get to have an opinion. Get the shot or get out. That's the breaks here in CA and it should be nationwide if the hospital takes Medicare and Medicaid.
SORRY NOT SORRY.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 1, 2021 1:35 PM |
I'm glad to know these women are being treated like the scummy mother fucking counts they are.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 1, 2021 1:38 PM |
It is peak selfishness. Notice how she complained about washing and social distancing after getting home to protect her family. If they weren’t on her ass about that, I bet she wouldn’t have done it and risked infecting her entire family.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 1, 2021 2:03 PM |
The biggest concern young women seem to have about the vax is the risk of congenital birth defects from the mRNA technology. It's a legitimate concern- we've been through this with thalidomide already.

"My body, my choice"
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 1, 2021 2:09 PM |
R11 Fuck off with that. Anti Vaxxer’s “choice” affects many others than just themselves, dumbass.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 1, 2021 2:12 PM |
She can choose to not vaccinate if she wants to.
Her employer can choose not to employ her. And others can choose not to be around her.
Choice. It works both ways.

by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 1, 2021 2:31 PM |
I know two people who caught covid in the hospital. They were most likely infected by healthcare workers. Fuck these antivax idiots.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 1, 2021 2:33 PM |
These nurses are in such a minority but the media keeps presenting them as if they're part of some huge movement. The same with most other professions such as the police. Headlines like "Entire Police Force Quits Over Vaccine Mandates" and it turns out to be some small town police department consisting of less than a dozen officers. Also, very little follow-up on such stories. There was one story just short time again where a hospital's nursing staff threatened to quit and, in the end, something like 1% of the staff refused to get the vaccine and were let go.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 1, 2021 2:39 PM |
"Doctor" Oz and "Doctor" Ronny Jackson should open up a St. Donald clinic that hires only anti-vaxx, anti-maskers and treats COVID and all other health issues with supplements, "pharmaceutical" grade essential oils, and autographed pictured of Trump.
They would need for patients to sign liability waivers, of course, and no insurance would cover the fees incurred BUT! owning the libs would be worth the price!

You're spewing bullshit, R10. It never ceases to amaze how people are willing to believe ANYTHING they see or hear that promotes misinformation against the vaccines, but believe NOTHING that supports their effectiveness and safety, even with the overwhelming SCIENCE-BASED evidence in that direction.
Had you even conducted a basic Google search, you'd know that the vaccines don't interact in any way with our DNA whatsoever. Secondly, you'd also find that thalidomide did, hence the birth defects.
[quote] "Posts online are comparing the short time period in which COVID-19 vaccines have been developed with issues around thalidomide, a drug that was once banned worldwide for causing birth defects in babies"
[quote] "Dr. S. Vincent Rajkumar, a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, who has studied thalidomide and use of the drug to treat myeloma, said you cannot compare the coronavirus vaccine and thalidomide"
The thalidomide and vaccine concerns are based on disinformation.

I am a nurse, and everyone I work with has had the injections and the booster without question. Idiots like this should not be working in health care.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 1, 2021 3:12 PM |
A hospital in the area where I work lost 50% of their pharmacy staff to the mandate. An idiot in the hospital pharmacy I work at just said "As long as we have Fauci, we'll have variants". I did not engage. You would think, working with people in a science based field, that people wouldn't be such morons.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 1, 2021 3:20 PM |
The tards who blame Fauci for the variants are a special kind of stupid.

I'm all for her body being her choice. However, she's not guaranteed employment as a public health worker who is deliberately exposing others to a very serious disease. Nobody's stopping her from taking her CV somewhere where she either doesn't have to interact with people with underlying health issues or to some MAGA-owned business that doesn't enforce any mandates.

R22 That article was information free. Spent five paragraphs quoting crazy Facebook posts and then said "trials are being done."

“She said she has fears over the vaccine's potential effects on her fertility and 'we don't know the side effects'.” She needs to take one for the team. Or adopt one of the babies her rabid ass leaves parentless.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 1, 2021 5:33 PM |
R23, R35 None of the vaccines prevent you from contracting or spreading Covid. There is an equal risk of spreading the virus to patients regardless of what carers do.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 1, 2021 5:35 PM |
R39 That linked article did contain useful information, but you are choosing to ignore it. Also, neither I nor the article pulled any content from "crazy" FB posts. You're not even making sense. And, in addition, I mentioned googling mRNA and Thalidomide. You obviously have decided to not do that, either.
Once again:
[quote] people are willing to believe ANYTHING they see or hear that promotes misinformation against the vaccines, but believe NOTHING that supports their effectiveness and safety, even with the overwhelming SCIENCE-BASED evidence in that direction
You fit the above to a T.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 1, 2021 6:21 PM |
R42 It didn't! There was no information given about the trials done to test the vaccines and why the vaccines won't be a repeat of Thalidomide. Just assurances that these things are different, and only crazy people would ever consider thinking of such things.

by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 1, 2021 7:19 PM |
I had a surprise hospitalization during the spring of 2020. It wasn't COVID-related. I'm immunosuppressed, have dealt with a nasty hospital-acquired infection in the past, and felt like even more of a sitting duck than usual.
One of the nurses seized every possible opportunity to tell me, unprompted, that there was no way in hell she'd take a new vaccine if one was successfully developed. Knowing you're being cared for by that wretched a person when you're at your most physically vulnerable is a really strange and shitty feeling. I think about her often and wonder if she chose joblessness over vaccination.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 1, 2021 7:22 PM |
I could understand the hesitation in the beginning but now there have been several hundred thousand doses administered in the past year, the immediate risks for the US vaccines are pretty much known by now. I really don't see how one can say there would be long term risks when the mRNA injected and any viral protein synthesized will naturally degrade. The only thing the vaccines do is prepare your immune system for any eventual encounter with the actual COVID virus. And even that effect degrades over time necessitating booster shots. It's really crazy to hear nurses pile on all kind of pseudoscience nonsense to discredit the vaccines. If they really want to quit, then just leave quietly rather than sow more disinformation into the world.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 1, 2021 7:34 PM |
R43 You are plainly dense.
I don't need to see a complex, unreadable chart of scientific test results to allay my vaccine fears (and neither should you), just the readily provable knowledge that highly qualified, experienced people were involved and that a scientifically credible, proven process was used and verified.
FWIW, further testing and research showed that Thalidomide was shown to affect DNA, which was causing the birth defects. However, mRNA vaccines do not interact with our DNA, which is why there has been no cause for concern with birth malformations.
Also, the discovery, study and testing of mRNA technology goes back several decades, along with vaccines in general, and, there WAS extensive mRNA Covid vaccine testing prior to public availability, inasmuch as the time would allow, and given the circumstances.
Why do you people keep insisting that these vaccines haven't been tested or that safety protocols were were bypassed, when that is plainly and verifiably false? The vaccines and Thalidomide are apples and watermelons. You're just looking for excuses.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 1, 2021 7:39 PM |
When these same people smoke, drink, eat crap food, do not exercise regularly and don't fight for clean air and water to the extent that they are fighting against taking the vaccine, then you know they are FOS. All of those things I mentioned are known to cause cancers, metabolic disorders, addictions, increase problems with auto-immune disorders, fetal alcohol syndrome and other birth defects and are linked to the rise in autism.
But take a vaccine to help keep other safe and diminish the spread of Covid? Be a part of less variants from being created? No way!
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 1, 2021 7:46 PM |

Maybe she was one of the many healthcare workers who died of Covid-19. We can only hope.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 1, 2021 7:54 PM |
If what you're saying is accurate, R47, she should have been written up for saying those things to you/in front of you. A healthcare provider should never do that in front of a patient, especially un-prompted. They are not there to advise or judge a patient they are there to care for them.
Pro or anti-vax, she was in the wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 1, 2021 7:59 PM |
R52, I reported her lack of professionalism using a feedback form I was given at discharge. No one followed up with me but at least they were made aware of it, though they probably already knew.
Two months after my experience a friend encountered a nurse in a different ward of the same hospital who spewed anti-vaccine rhetoric and even claimed there wasn't a single patient in the whole hospital with COVID. The numbers were public, of course, and grisly. These idiots have no connection to reality.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 1, 2021 8:14 PM |
It's good that you reported her. Her behavior was not appropriate or professional and the facility needed to be made aware.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 1, 2021 8:17 PM |
Covid has made people aware of how dumb some medical workers really are and the myth that they are more intellectual has been smashed. Are these nurses spewing anti-vaxx shit RNs or merely LVNs? I've met some really ignorant LVNs.
A medical practice here went out business. The doctors got good reviews for the most part but when the Tea Party was created all of a sudden a lot of right wing, anti "Obamacare", "freedom" and "patriot" propaganda appeared on the walls and people started writing reviews about how disturbing they found it. I quit going but I heard when Trump got elected it got even worse. I don't know if the Covid was the final straw for the practice but it's all gone now. Would not surprise if infighting between the doctors was partially to blame.
