Celebrities with horrible skin

Cameron Diaz was infamous for her bad skin, even when she modeled in her younger days. A smoker and a boozer (allegedly).

Mary Tyler Moore was tanned leather cowhide by the time of the MTM show, one reason for her disastrous plastic surgery in years that followed.

Robert Redford, similar. Pale Irish skin and a natural redhead, of all the types who shouldn't be perpetually tan.

Cam. She doesn't even look so bad here, but prematurely aged for sure.

Sean Penn, sun worshipping smoker.

Penn's love of booze has really done a number on his skin.

Mick Jagger looks like a leather purse left out in the rain.

Luke Evans is a tanning away from being upholstery.

What is it about Boomer men in particular that none of them ever seemed to moisturize or use sunblock?

Suzanne "Leatherface" Somers is another sun worshiper who never used sunblock.

Julianne Moore, by contrast, is a redhead with very pale, freckled skin who scrupulously avoids the sun and looks pretty marvelous for her 60 years. She's made several movies that required tanning and I recall hearing that she insisted on temporary body sprays.

She's also pretty skillful with makeup (and concealing all those freckles).

Katherine Ross - she is so creamy and pale and lovely in The Graduate and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The last several years sun damage has ravaged her face and neck. Every 17 year old girl should be forced to tape an “after” photo of Ross to her bathroom mirror and start a skin care regime early ….. geez - I wish that I had done that!

Not exactly horrible, but noticeable. Morgan Freeman has lots of flat moles (papulosa nigra) that a lot of AA people get. They can be removed if you have a lot of $$ for the derm, as they're considered to be cosmetic. I have them too, but after a lifetime I don't even "see" them.

Someone should have introduced Goop to Supergoop.

Gwen looks good for 50.

Mila Kunis has huge craters all over without makeup.

Adam Lambert.

Megan Fox also had bad skin. I think her acne cleared up though.

Adam Levine and Chris Pine have both clearly suffered with serious acne in the past. It hasn't stopped them, but I'm sure they're self-conscious about it.

Ray Liotta and Tommy Lee Jones have significant acne scarring. Goldie Hawn has serious sun damage.

Mick Jagger is nearly 80 and incredibly thin, so the skin just hangs. But he never tanned, hasn't smoked in nearly half a century, and I've read he knows a lot about skincare. A morning on a plastic surgeon's table would fix him up a treat.

Katy Zits Perry.

R29, Katy Perry looks horrendous without makeup.

I really do not understand why actors and other public figures with bad skin do not avail themselves of effective treatments like Accutane for acne and laser peels for scarring. HD is pitiless.

That poor boy on Star Trek: Discovery who plays the Trill that only his ex-girlfriend can see. He has cystic acne that they cover with makeup that you know can't be helpful for his hoorrible, horrible skin condition.

Britney Spears has terrible sun damage from over tanning. Makes her look a lot older than what she is, too.

I find Chris Pine cute and appealing but his skin is horrible. I was shocked to see him in the (quite bad) Wonder Woman sequel--he's aged quite a bit and his skin looked terrible, even under studio makeup. I suspect it's booze, smoking, and neglect.

Smoking and tanning will age anyone. If you had bad skin to begin with, you'll just look like stomped shit much faster. Sunscreen is your friend, fellas!
