Truck driver who caused Humboldt Broncos bus crash fights to stay in Canada
[quote]Three years after 16 members of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team were killed in a crash on a Saskatchewan highway, the man responsible is publicly apologizing and lobbying to stay in Canada. As a permanent resident, Jaskirat Singh Sidhu faces deportation to India when his prison sentence is complete.
Check out the Karen hockey moms who are fighting to have Sidhu deported.

Woke white people are 𝑠𝑢𝑐ℎ suckers for a charade of apologies

He apologized and is spending eight years in prison. How is justice not being served, R1?

That doesn't look like much of a prison to me.

Become a productive member of society, open a convenience store. Or a dry cleaner.

Canada has no spine. Of course he'll be allowed to stay. They probably even give him free counseling.

If it had been a white immigrant who caused the crash, the anger would be the same, but the demands to have him deported would be virtually non-existent. Fact.

I can't get over those two Karens. Sorry, but they're both cunts who are racist and want vengeance. They have no right to tell anyone to "go back to their country," especially since both those bitches are descendants of white settlers. Both are terrible speakers and sound stupid and uneducated too.

I have read up on this story. I can at least summarize for anybody who doesn't want to read it or watch it. He was driving a big truck. He ran into a bus. The evidence against him is that there was no sign of him braking before he hit the bus. If anybody wishes to add to this, please do. But that's what I remember being germane to the issue.
And fortunately, for those who subscribe to fuckery, race hating, race baiting, and the host of attendant mental disorders and personality deficiencies, his not being a Canadian national doesn't count as evidence against him.

You are correct, R9. I'll add that he committed several traffic violations that day before the incident.
Update -
Three families are sticking up for him, the others are not.

How does an immigrant with multiple traffic violations not have his license revoked before he killed someone?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 6, 2021 8:16 PM

I think the violations were only caught after the crash, R11. Multiple violations with his log book and the contents of his truck not being secured.

What's sad is that the racist parents of the victims and the survivors of this crash have the law on their side. He's not a citizen so he very well could be deported.

I lived in Saskatchewan when this occered; my son was in youth hockey too. There are few "highways", mostly two lane roads and gravel roads. Nearly all of the approaches are perpendicular to the highway with only stop signs, sometimes with a flashing light. The truck driver was at fault, he did not yield or stop at the intersection. I do not care what country is from, but, if he is not a citizen then he should be deported.

Yes so sad that a negligent driver who cost 16 people their lives might have the law used against him. I'm crying as I type.

I recall this truck driver did not have much training before driving on his own. That also should be looked at for future truck drivers.

There was a tarp flapping on his truck and he was apparently looking back at it when he blew the stop sign, R14. He was ordered to be deported and is fighting that now. I think he'll lose his appeal. That said, I think some of the parents in this case are being vengeful. Deporting him won't bring back the victims.

But deporting him will keep him off Canadian roads and keep him from benefitting from a country whose laws he broke. So yeah, deportation is a great solution.

[quote]"I just want one chance I can give back to the community and show that I'm not a bad person, bad human being — I'm just like everybody," said Jaskirat Singh Sidhu during a recent CBC interview via Zoom from the minimum security side of the Bowden Institution in Innisfail, Alta.
he's a liar. He doesn't care about the community. If he did, he'd leave the country when he gets out. Instead he's causing as much grief as possible for the parents of the 16 people/children he killed.
He'll probably only have to serve half his sentence.

Being allowed to stay in wealthy, generous Canada is a privilege, not a right.

r7 it wouldn't get headlines. they would just get deported unless they fell in a group or circumstances in which one could hijack the momentary spotlight to platform wider issues affecting said community or signaling sociopolitical cause.

What's funny is that there are few people on earth who are more likely to drive safely from now on than this guy. I mean, there has never been any suggestion that this was in any way a deliberate act. No one argues that he intended to kill those people. It was an accident. He made a careless mistake, which I am sure everyone here with a driver's license has at one time or another. I genuinely feel sorry for people like this. Their mistake ended tragically. Most of ours don't. Mine (the one I'm thinking of) didn't. I genuinely don't see what purpose deporting him serves. The dead will not be brought back and surely living out the rest of his life knowing he is responsible for so much death and heartbreak is more punishment than even imprisonment or deportation could ever be?

I kind of see both sides, R23. Deporting him won't bring the victims back, but, he made more than just a minor error, he was reckless and ended up killing 16 people.
If the 16 victims weren't hockey players, there'd be a lot less outrage, perhaps no one would care, especially the perpetually outraged people out in rural Saskatchewan. This accident happened in the middle of deplorable country, and there's nothing more deplorable than rural hockey players and their families, so this dude is going to pay even if his punishment seems unjust. The Karen mothers would make his life hell on earth if he were allowed to stay, so perhaps he is better off back in India. Nothing is bringing their sons back, but I dont' think they see it that way, they're cunts out for blood.
The rumor is that he's from a relatively rich family, so hopefully his life won't be too bad once he's back there.
