Isn't she going to discuss her brief fling with her co-star Penny Marshall.

by Anonymousreply 1November 29, 2021 3:16 PM

“Isn't she going to discuss her brief fling with her co-star Penny Marshall.”

What? Are you saying the ‘L’ on Penny Marshall’s tops was for Lesbian?

by Anonymousreply 2November 29, 2021 3:26 PM

Wouldn't she be about 85 by now?

by Anonymousreply 3November 29, 2021 3:29 PM

One your mark, get set and go now …

by Anonymousreply 4November 29, 2021 3:32 PM

She should be Kathleen Turner's opening act.

by Anonymousreply 5November 29, 2021 3:35 PM

Now that Penny and Garry are gone, it would be pretty easy for all her stories to be one-sided.

Most especially, why she left L&S.

by Anonymousreply 6November 29, 2021 3:35 PM

OUTRAGE! Must be recast with a BIPOC!

by Anonymousreply 7November 29, 2021 3:42 PM

Ive always liked her.Id watch it on tv but I wouldnt go out of my way.

by Anonymousreply 8November 29, 2021 4:17 PM

Didn't she get fired?

by Anonymousreply 9November 29, 2021 4:20 PM

Why not, R7? Laverne & Shirley, starring Laverne Cox and Cindy Williams. Every week the "girls" get into madcap situations when Laverne tries to show Shirley what a cis white devil she is.

by Anonymousreply 10November 29, 2021 4:25 PM

Shirley you're kidding OP!

by Anonymousreply 11November 29, 2021 10:35 PM

In honor of Laverne, they'll have a special milk and Pepsi drink at the venue's bar.

by Anonymousreply 12November 29, 2021 10:43 PM

Michael McKean can burst through the door every time she says "vermin".

by Anonymousreply 13November 29, 2021 10:43 PM

I would go see her if she came to my town. I love one-person shows like this.

by Anonymousreply 14November 30, 2021 12:19 AM

I wouldn't risk Omicron for the likes of Shirley Feeney.

by Anonymousreply 15November 30, 2021 2:17 AM

Boo Boo Kitty was where they hid the double ended dildo that kept both girls happy at night.

by Anonymousreply 16November 30, 2021 2:39 AM

Is she broke?

by Anonymousreply 17November 30, 2021 2:45 AM

Of course the first stop is Palm Springs.

Of COURSE it is.

by Anonymousreply 18November 30, 2021 10:29 PM

with Joyce DeWitt as the understudy.

by Anonymousreply 19November 30, 2021 10:36 PM

I couldn't believe what that ANT did to that rubber tree plant!

by Anonymousreply 20December 1, 2021 4:34 PM

What about my Hello, Dolly!!!

by Anonymousreply 21December 1, 2021 4:46 PM

She'll appear in only a white oxford dress shirt with long tail and black stockings. Her opening number will be "I'm Still Here." She closes with the L & S theme.

by Anonymousreply 22December 1, 2021 4:50 PM

[quote]She closes with the L & S theme.

With all plurals references changed to single.

by Anonymousreply 23December 1, 2021 4:59 PM

Listen, if that bitch could do it herself then so can I!

Pam Dawber is doing "Gypsy" at the Eureka Players Theatre in northern Cali.

by Anonymousreply 25December 1, 2021 5:07 PM

How do ya like those eggrolls, Orson?

by Anonymousreply 26December 1, 2021 5:29 PM

29 "likes" in a week. Sad.

by Anonymousreply 27December 1, 2021 6:23 PM

She owned/owns the rights to the 1950s movie "Father of the Bride" and made BANK in the early 90s when it was remade with Steve Martin and Dianne Keaton, then a sequel a few years later.

The 2 movies made over 200-mill in the early 90s. She's doing fine.

She does not.

She was a producer on the remakes, I believe, which means she invested in its production and reaped some of its financial rewards.

by Anonymousreply 29December 1, 2021 8:15 PM

I'd paid money for her to yell "Stunt cock is here!"

R24 My recollection was that the show was briefly retitled "Laverne," which was reflected in the opening credits of these Shirley-less shows on their original airings.

But in syndication, all were the usual "Laverne and Shirley" title.

Or am I mis-remembering?

by Anonymousreply 31December 1, 2021 10:15 PM

Oh, dear.

Sad last days.

by Anonymousreply 32December 1, 2021 10:22 PM

She's not hurting for money.

You're mis-remembering. There was talk that they were going to re-title the show "Laverne & Friends" and they even brought a bunch of female guest stars to come in and each do an episode with Penny in hopes they might be able to get lightning to strike and start fresh in the 9th season as "Laverne & _______" but no one really made a splash and by that time, the show had really run its course. The show was always called Laverne & Shirley from the first episode to the final.

by Anonymousreply 35December 1, 2021 11:01 PM

I thought she died years ago

by Anonymousreply 36December 1, 2021 11:17 PM

Her career had died years ago, R36.

by Anonymousreply 37December 1, 2021 11:36 PM

Is she still morbidly obese?

by Anonymousreply 38December 1, 2021 11:45 PM

She will wear a slimming caftan and pearls ensemble for her Palm Springs residency.

by Anonymousreply 39December 1, 2021 11:47 PM

Well, hello, Rose at R15! Are you still living in The House That Hemorrhoids Built?

by Anonymousreply 40December 1, 2021 11:49 PM

It was a wise move to open the big show in Palm Springs, eldergay mecca.

Will there be a Boo Boo Kitty merch table? Gurl could make some bank from those old queens.

by Anonymousreply 41December 1, 2021 11:52 PM

And some pretty bowling shirts with the big L for the lesbians, R41.

I'm curious to see if she badmouths Bill Hudson like his wife Goldie did. According to Penny Marshall, he was the troublemaker who fucked everything up.

I can't believe I'm defending talentless Republicunt Vicki Lawrence, but this Cindy seems to be stealing her idea a bit as Vicki had that Mama tour.

by Anonymousreply 43December 2, 2021 12:42 AM

Is she still married to that loser Hudson Brother?

by Anonymousreply 44December 2, 2021 1:08 AM

Ed Marinaro and I tried to save the show, but it was hopeless.

Will her pussy still stink? In the 1970s, she was known as the stinkiest cunt in TV.

by Anonymousreply 50December 2, 2021 6:15 AM

[quote]She was a producer on the remakes, I believe, which means she invested in its production

"Father of the Bride" was produced by Sanddollar Productions, that's Dolly Parton and Sandy Gallin's production company. I doubt they needed to solicit investments from random sitcom stars of yesteryear for the films they produced.

I could be wrong about her owning the rights - but I was told that by a showbusiness insider and friend of Cindy's back when the 2nd film was released.

by Anonymousreply 51December 3, 2021 9:02 AM

I guess we can forget about a surprise appearance from Carmine.

by Anonymousreply 52December 3, 2021 1:04 PM

Cindy was definitely a producer but it sounds like either Tristar or Disney ended up with the rights, after buying them from Ted Turner.
