Im confused . Is it an old spanish style mansion with hideous remodeling,or was it built by an oil rich sheik in 1989 ?

Built in the 1920s by a department store guy IIRC. The slide on the main stairs was originally there to amuse the kids.

The house is charming and could be delightful for someone who wants to go full-bore into fantasy mode.
The updates are clinical and hideous.
If I never see can lights again it will be too soon.
