Their land was taken from them, and as recently as the Trump administration, the government is still in the process of taking even more of the paltry land the Wampanoag still has. The tribe was also not invited to the Pilgrims first Thanksgiving after helping them survive the first year in the new land. It's been 400 years of injustice.
