How Did Contemporary Men’s Fashion Become Such a Universal Standard?

White or black, young or old(er), hip hop or rock, white collar and blue. Skaters and gangsters. Cities and the burbs. ALL guys today dress like this. I’ve never seen such a thing before.

by Anonymousreply 1November 24, 2021 10:33 PM

I've never seen anyone dressed liked that who wasn't clumsy with scissors.

by Anonymousreply 2November 24, 2021 10:38 PM

OP has never seen group think in men's clothing. Has he never heard of the 1950s or 1960s when every kid look like clones?

by Anonymousreply 6November 24, 2021 10:55 PM

You need amazing quads to pull that off.

That guys has them.

by Anonymousreply 7November 24, 2021 10:56 PM

bad example OP, we can only think about seeing that fuckable dude with no clothes on!

by Anonymousreply 9November 24, 2021 11:00 PM

Skinny jeans are out. The kids are wearing baggy clothes now.

by Anonymousreply 10November 24, 2021 11:09 PM

Do you remember the 70s? Bell sleeves and bell bottoms and platform shoes, the more audacious the better.

by Anonymousreply 11November 24, 2021 11:11 PM

ALL guys DO NOT dress like this. Are you young? Not even all YOUNG people dress the same.

by Anonymousreply 12November 24, 2021 11:32 PM

How do they dress, R12?

by Anonymousreply 13November 24, 2021 11:41 PM

R11... and covering their ears and collars with hair.

by Anonymousreply 14November 24, 2021 11:43 PM

OP is a 1,000-year-old, ancient alien.

by Anonymousreply 15November 24, 2021 11:54 PM

Most current fashion seems to go out of it's way to be trashy, especially when long established high end designers have embraced such low-rent tackiness, then stick a $5000 price tag on a fucking ugly oversized sweatshirt!

WTF happened to Balenciaga, LV and Gucci?

by Anonymousreply 16November 25, 2021 12:30 AM

[QUOTE] Do you remember the 70s? Bell sleeves and bell bottoms and platform shoes, the more audacious the better.

Yeah but different groups had their own flavor.

by Anonymousreply 17November 25, 2021 3:41 PM

That's not a current style and OP's model looks like Eurotrash. Skinny ripped jeans have been out for a couple of years.

by Anonymousreply 18November 25, 2021 4:44 PM

What are they wearing now, R18?

by Anonymousreply 19November 25, 2021 5:39 PM

I am seeming gen z especially wearing wider leg jeans almost a return to late 90's - oversized is in, gender fluid colors, statement sneakers.

by Anonymousreply 20November 25, 2021 5:51 PM

r20 GenZ can't stop masquerading as GenX.

by Anonymousreply 21November 25, 2021 9:09 PM

I still think there is a shadow of his cock head below his pant.

This Guy is Hung. That is why he was selected as a model for this sad brand.

by Anonymousreply 22November 27, 2021 1:41 AM

[quote]GenZ can't stop masquerading as GenX.

Well masquerading as Boomers put's them into Mom Jeans.

Someone needs to buy mass-produced fashion, OP. You can have the luxury brand version or the cheap mass-produced one. For the untrained eye, they look the same, but the insiders and experts can spot the difference.

In this globalized world, fashion becomes more and more homogenic. Common people wearing what celebrities in Hollywood, New York, or London are wearing. The basic, or Normcore, fashion one can find at local or online stores.

[quote] Normcore doesn't want the freedom to become someone. Normcore wants the freedom to be with anyone. You might not understand the rules of football, but you can still get a thrill from the roar of the crowd at the World Cup. In Normcore, one does not pretend to be above the indignity of belonging.
