Did Ron Howard wear a hairpiece when he was in Happy Days? It seemed he went bald fairly quickly.
Opie has not aged well.
And what sort of fucking name is "Opie" anyway?

I always hoped that there would be an episode where Opie's mother returned to Mayberry. She shows up and Aunt Bee reads her for filth. Bee knew she hadn't died but had run off with the local parson.

I'm no romantic, but thought this was a sweet tweet.

He went to public school? Can you imagine?

Doesn't look like a hairpiece, but a combover.

He never wore a hair piece - I went to college with him. Ronny doesn't care about things like that. He always wanted to make movies, not be a movie star.

Ron Howard is and always was adorable, and has always seemed like a genuinely kind man. I enjoy most of his films. He said in a Stern interview that he very seriously considered doing a porn film in order to finance his first directorial project, a few years after "Happy Days" ended. I really wish he had. I crushed on him as Richie, when I was a kid.

Ron Howard is a decent man, he treats people well, he was raised right in a good family and has morals, values, and ethics. He really is Opie all grown up. :-)

Ron was 20 when Happy Days began, so the balding may have started but it takes years.

I read the bio he and his brother did during covid startup. He said he noticed his hair was coming out a lot during showers, and knew he had to accept being bald sooner than expected.

Actually, I've been wearing a bald cap since the 1980's so people would take me seriously as a director and stop calling me Opie.
