not to be a cunt but when was the last time any of yous bitches set foot in a Dollar Store?

Yesterday. I go there all the time. I had Dollar Tree garlic toast with my dinner last night, along with a $200 bottle of Ch. SHL Pessac-Leognan. Six pieces of toast for a buck...or 1,200 pieces for the price of the 2005 Bordeaux.

I have to imagine this more a branding problem that anything else.
I went to a Dollar Tree about 6 months ago to get noodles for tuna casserole. It was 5:15 and I did not want to drive up to Safeway for what would be the same stuff but add 30 minutes on the road because of rush hour traffic.
The noodles were fine (especially for the dish). I will say though that almost nothing cost $1.00.

R6, you must have been at some other "dollar store" because Dollar Tree has held prices at $1 since it started in the '80s.

It is was bound to happen.

I went to the local DT and the as surprised how nearly organized it is. Usually, it's a jumbled mess. Then I noticed how bare many of the shelves were, hence easier to tidy up. I went specifically for rubber gloves. None at all and the usually have a ton.

I went to my local Dollar Tree today and everything was still just $1, I was expecting to have to pay $1.25.

What shall we call the Dollar Store? Please suggest some names in view of the price increase.

R14, it is in OP's title, Buck-Twenty-Five Tree.

DT is run by sneaky conniving people. Not only have they raised the prices by 25% across the board, they've also now reduced the quantities inside the packages on many of their items. I buy some very cheap paper plates that I use when I'm cooking, to do my mise en place (separate all the ingredients used in the dish). The package of plates has always contained 40 plates. I just bought 6 packs less than 2 weeks ago. I noticed today the packs only contain 30 plates now, so that's a 25% decrease in quantity on top of a 25% increase in price. The manager of the store was running the check out and I'm somewhat friendly with her. I mentioned it to her when I was checking out and she said "doesn't surprise me one bit". We talked a bit more because no one else was in line. She eventually told me she had been looking for another job since her 2nd week at DT and couldn't wait until she would be able to give notice. She's told me before that DT corporate management is the worst scum on the planet and if they could get away with paying their managers no more than minimum wage, they would.

Lazy, you’re wasting paper and words. Stating that you use (waste) paper on mise en place is sufficient.

You run your kitchen your way, and I'll run mine my way. Get it? Got it? GOOD!

You were right R10, it was Family Dollar. They are all the same in my mind (or were).

You're right now, R21/R6, because Dollar Tree has indeed raised its prices to $1.25.
