R20 this sounds weird but the extended deleted version of that scene made me think that Joshua’s character had a bit of affection and genuine care for Mabius’ character. Yes, Josh sets Eric up, but he seems to regret it a bit once the plan is in motion from the way he chides Sebastian for going too far (and then watches with mixed emotions—lust and triumphant glee but also a touch of concern and alarm) as Sebastian goes in to get his cock out). Plus there was the comfort he seemed to have with Eric in his bed, it felt boyfriendy even though they were meant to be fuckbuds who didn’t like one another. It was a nice subtle ambiguity they had going on there. Maybe that’s why it was cut, it wasn’t quite mean enough.
