Con: Julio's brother Simone, who lives with Julio, did three years. Also affordable, and/but a little rough, if that's your preference or not.

West Hollywood is one of the few parts of LA - and even the state of California - where there is activity seven nights a week.

Every night there are people at restaurants, bars, walking dogs, jogging, at the grocery stores. Much of Southern California is made up of early-to-bedroom communities.

If you like a variety of neighbors, don't move to West Hollywood. It's a Gay Ghetto.

My friend (he died) used to live there, but he moved to Miami. He said the tacky, criminal Russian and Albanian element had made living there awful.

I think it’s the most NY walkable neighborhood in LA.

The street scene isn't all that lively most of the day and most days of the week. Granted the bar is low in LA.

If you live there parking is not such a big issue. It's very walkable and public transportation is good.

Though WeHo has a somewhat definitive western edge at Beverly Hills line, the eastern edge blends with Holllywood - so Cambridge analogy doesn’t quite work. Maybe DuPont circle in DC where the western edge becomes purely residential in Kalorama. The gay area is more defined though - maybe 7 blocks by 6.

R13, I think he must mean Armenian instead of Albanian, but they're more in East Hollywood, Glendale, and the Valley. But yes, West Hollywood does have a significant Russian-speaking community.

More crime now

The Russians here suck. They own a bunch of fake store fronts on santa monica between Fairfax and La Brea that need to be annihilated to make room for actual new businesses. They’re all collecting money from the government too.

Pros - It still fun.

Cons - Str8s took over 10 or more years ago. Tons on them with their kids taking up a lot of room. Plus, single str8 chicks only think of gays as play toys for social media. " Like, look everyone. I'm into equality!"

Pro: it's close to airports

Con: everything else.

WeHo is close to airport? Hmmm - not sure about that.

70% of men who live there are plastic surgery victims or play hard with injections. Mostly younger gays now.
