WHET the Original Queer Eye Guys?

I think Jai came out as bi. Tom was hawking for Pier One. Carson became a walker for UES dowagers.

by Anonymousreply 31July 5, 2022 5:13 PM

Why are there no responses to this. Loved the show. Jai bisexual, hmm.

Tom was my favorite.

by Anonymousreply 1July 5, 2022 1:36 PM

I loved when MadTV spoofed their roles. Jai was labeled "Culture Expert" in quotes, and even he had to say "Yeah, I'm just a stripper with a Celine Dion album."

[quote] Jai came out as bi

The only thing bisexual about Jai was when he hired rent boys.

by Anonymousreply 3July 5, 2022 1:45 PM

They went through conversion therapy and became straight. We don’t talk about them anymore.

by Anonymousreply 4July 5, 2022 1:48 PM

[quote]I think Jai came out as bi

Lord, the bi troll is back.

by Anonymousreply 5July 5, 2022 1:48 PM

Jai had a NY Theatre (Bway, off-Bway) career prior to Queer Eye. He likely hoped Queer Eye would lead to more TV but it hasn't.

Last time I noticed, he was hosting some awful reality show about pets.

by Anonymousreply 6July 5, 2022 1:52 PM

Tom is probably the most successful.

by Anonymousreply 7July 5, 2022 1:52 PM

R6 I’ve always found it interesting how he has never had a serious relationship (as far as I know).

by Anonymousreply 8July 5, 2022 1:53 PM

[quote]Tom is probably the most successful.

What does Thom do now? I would have guessed Ted as the most successful with all of his Food Network hosting gigs.

by Anonymousreply 9July 5, 2022 1:54 PM

Weren’t they all in the Gay themed Taylor Swift video a few years back?

by Anonymousreply 10July 5, 2022 1:54 PM

Don’t forget Ted Allen. He’s been hosting Chopped for what seems like an eternity.

by Anonymousreply 11July 5, 2022 1:55 PM

Kyan was HOT.

Carson hosts a show in Food Network.

Kyan was the only one who could pass for straight.

by Anonymousreply 14July 5, 2022 2:30 PM

Kyan's Wiki is a mess. What is he up to these days? Where does he live?

by Anonymousreply 15July 5, 2022 2:31 PM

I DETESTED the original Queer Eyes. It was the epitome of a minstrel show.

Look! Gays only know about fashion and flowers!

by Anonymousreply 16July 5, 2022 2:49 PM

One of them was a florist? When I took that test in high school for careers, it came back with the careers for me being florist or undertaker. I think those tests were geared to expose the Gays.

by Anonymousreply 17July 5, 2022 2:57 PM

He looks 100 times better with shorter hair.

Was Nate Berks one of them?

by Anonymousreply 19July 5, 2022 2:57 PM

R19, no

by Anonymousreply 20July 5, 2022 3:26 PM

Kyan at least was a big cokehead

by Anonymousreply 21July 5, 2022 3:26 PM

I absolutely loved the original "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy".

by Anonymousreply 22July 5, 2022 3:33 PM

[quote]Tom was my favorite.

And yet, you can't spell his name properly.

by Anonymousreply 23July 5, 2022 3:41 PM

I won't acknowledge anyone who spells his name "Thom".

by Anonymousreply 24July 5, 2022 4:00 PM

R24 It's as pretentious as spelling "Will" with one L.

by Anonymousreply 25July 5, 2022 4:28 PM

I liked Thom, he was husky.

by Anonymousreply 26July 5, 2022 4:43 PM

I went to Egypt with Kyan, and a group of other New Age people, back in 2008. He was mostly aloof, presenting himself as if on a journey to find himself.

Which he was.

by Anonymousreply 27July 5, 2022 4:54 PM

It’s weird to me that Kyan “retired” from television - going on Rachel Ray where he was kind of a regular to make an official announcement just seemed odd to me. Ah well, whatever.

by Anonymousreply 28July 5, 2022 4:57 PM

Kyan "retired" in the same way a stack of Chinet plates is "retired" after the gospel brunch.

by Anonymousreply 29July 5, 2022 4:58 PM

retired = unable to find TV roles.

by Anonymousreply 30July 5, 2022 4:59 PM

I guess I still stand a chance with Jai then, OP.
