I’m nervous. After 25 years of a non-stop career in theater, my last show was in 2006. I haven’t acted in a musical since then. Just TV, film, and cabaret/concert work. I can’t believe it’s been so long but here I go!
I’m returning to the musical stage tonight

Musical wise, I sang on Broadway in Jesus Christ Superstar. I also originated the role of Harold in Harold & Maude, the musical. I’m best known on TV as a regular on Bones.

by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 19, 2021 11:40 PM |
Break a leg OP! We all need to get back to the theater so thank you for your service. Not being trite or kidding at all.
Signing my authenticated name instead of anonymous on this one. Not that it matters but what you're doing matters and I want you to know how much I appreciate it. Even if the show bombs, which for your sake I hope it doesn't.

Break a leg, OP. And, don't forget, the stage adds 50 lbs.

Ok, DL…who is the guy playing the piano for Baby Jane in R24? He’s been in everything but I don’t know his name. Thanks
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 20, 2021 1:28 AM |
Cunt off, R40.
C-list is a regular here and one of the very few people gutsy enough to share his real identity on Datalounge, too. And, as evidenced by his self-styled handle, is a humble and down to earth guy despite being named....

Eric, I follow someone on Twitter named Aaron Wiener. He wrote some episodes of Bones. Do you know him? I always look forward to his tweets. He's so upbeat and I like his sense of humor.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 20, 2021 1:46 AM |
I hope you are sensational, OP. Have fun. You've got something like 10 seconds to make them like you, according to Noel Coward.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 20, 2021 1:50 AM |
Thanks everybody!!! I’m backstage now. Andrew Weiner wrote for Bones after I left, I think. I’ve done nudity before. Not this show. Don’t know who the pianist is.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 20, 2021 2:03 AM |
Break a leg! Knock their socks off.

Break a leg, toots.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 20, 2021 2:05 AM |
R44, the actor at the piano is Victor Buono. I don't know if he is actually playing the piano though.

Break a leg! Ps everyone keeps calling you Eric but I think that’s your partner’s name, right?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 20, 2021 2:48 AM |
No, it's his name. Good luck, Mr. Millegan ! If you show doesn't reach Broadway, I hope it becomes at least one of those that tours or gets done regionally every holiday season.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 20, 2021 3:06 AM |
Wait, is this really Eric Millegan? If so - hi, Eric! You're a good actor. Liked you on Bones
by Anonymous | reply 62 | November 20, 2021 3:17 AM |
In my experience, the audience wants you to be successful. It’s sounds like an adrenaline rush to be onstage after a while. Im in SAG-Aftra, but now lead an organization, and appear in public fairly often. When onstage, and I reach for a word, a sense the audience is hoping I find it.
I think if they purchased tickets and choose the show and you performing in it, they will want you to succeed. Know that much. You will do and be great.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 20, 2021 3:33 AM |
Now go out there and be so swell that you'll make me hate you!
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 20, 2021 3:41 AM |
OP, I hope you'll come back and tell us how opening night (or first preview?) went!
by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 20, 2021 3:44 AM |
kisses on your opening!
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 20, 2021 3:48 AM |
r56 is not clueless. R56 is jaded.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | November 20, 2021 3:52 AM |
Congtrats, OP! I already know you've done well! Break the other leg next performance! Best wishes!

Give 'em a glove!
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 20, 2021 4:02 AM |
Lay 'em in the aisles! And if they won't do it there, take 'em home with you!
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 20, 2021 4:08 AM |
Happy for you OP!
by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 20, 2021 4:18 AM |
OP, you didn't eat corn or anything like that today, did you? Now I'm starting to worry. ;¬}
by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 20, 2021 4:50 AM |
All out of costume now. My husband sent me flowers before which was nice. He never does that so it was sweet. An old friend gave me flowers at curtain call. Overall, it seemed to go well. I had little line mess ups here and there but nothing anyone would notice, I don’t think. I feel good physically and vocally so that’s good since we’ve been rehearsing all week and have a show tomorrow.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 20, 2021 4:51 AM |
I hate you.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | November 20, 2021 5:23 AM |
OP Fantastic news. You are so sweet. Now, home to bed, you drunk whore.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 20, 2021 5:50 AM |
Woot Woot great news OP. I cannot imagine the nerves of performing, I definitely admire you. Thanks for sharing your news. Welcome back to work.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | November 20, 2021 8:34 AM |
Maybe you can be the new Jason on General Hospital. I hear they have an opening.

by Anonymous | reply 78 | November 20, 2021 9:26 AM |
Hey C-List - glad to see you around still. Since you haven’t posted in the theatre threads in a while I didn’t know if you were still posting. Always loved your backstage gossip, especially the goings on at the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar - I remember that revival well.
Glad to see you returning to the stage…have a great show!

R66 I see what you’ve done here.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | November 20, 2021 10:26 AM |
OP, I just remembered I was hearing the Overture to the original JCS double LP yesterday (before i read that you appeared in the musical). It's so haunting. And then the final track, 'John Nineteen Forty-One' is so sad. Anyway, lovely to hear you did well. Is the husband gonna take a pic of you a la Faye Dunaway sitting by a pool in a white terry cloth bathrobe with an Oscar or a Tony on the table? Just kidding...

Yes r94
