Did KB do ALL the dancing in Footloose?

Or was it a double a lá Flashdance/Black Swan?

No, Peter Tramm was the stunt dancer for Bacon. At the time of the film's release People ran an article about Tramm and mentioned that his ex-girlfriend (wife?) was Marine Jahn who had been the stunt dancer for Jennifer Beals in the previous years' Flashdance.

A double. Peter Tramm. Strangely he was married to the double for Jennifer Beals in Flashdance.

He died of AIDS though tragically.

I thought it was Melissa Hayden.

I knew it. I was like, gosh I never knew KB was so nimble, he must have been a former gymnast or something!

Didn't Mitch Gaylord do the gymnastic moves, like the high bar?

Peter Tramm was the sharp dressed man in the ZZ Top video of the same name. Sadly, he died from AIDS in 1991.

I think the elaborate dance moves were only added to the film after Flashdance became such a big hit. The idea then became to market Footloose as the male version of it.

(maybe that explains the marriage? publicity?)

I think it was just supposed to be Bacon dancing on his own but then they added those scenes where he's doing crazy elaborate dancing (and you don't see his face) to make it a dance film.
