Tasteful Friends: Not exactly the sort of gracious home you'd expect a basketball player to live in

NBA All-Star Buck Williams has just sold this house for $5.5 million. Were the taxes too high?

That is really exquisite ! I love Mount Airy, and I knew instantly that this house was based on it. I even love the decor.Id live there!

Potomac is McMansion central and kind of dull. If I had that money I’d rather live in a DC neighborhood or find an authentic old Virginia house in horse country.

Looks very similar to the historic Mount Pleasant mansion in Philadelphia.

Wow -It's not often Tasteful Friends actually have such good taste! The place is lovely, with lots of wonderful details. I imagine it is exceedingly comfortable.

I hope he's investing wisely. Can't run back and forth on a basketball court forever.

It's a dump compared to our little place in Montecito.

Heating in US most cost a fortune with all these open spaces and gigantic rooms with no doors. Am I right?

Fantastic house with great bones and grandma tastes. I’m sure the wife choose everything.

Sports stars' homes often end-up foreclosed or abandoned, as their fortunes shift.

Love it. I can see people who dislike anything traditional hating it or anything traditional (shrieking "grandma decor!!" about anything even slightly traditional in design), but most of those people simply have poor taste or chase the latest trends or are stuck in the MCM phase. But home is a very personal thing, so people should feel free to like or dislike whatever they want. Cheers!

R7, Williams is 60 and retired from b-ball. He's a Realtor and serves on several boards of directors for different organizations.

Don't assume.
