Then something happened. After “McGruber”, his career went to shit. Bad direct to video type of movies.

Josh Hartnett had ambition but he really can't act at all. I love him though and find him sexy enough to tolerate his wooden acting. He is especially awful in H2O and The Faculty. His casting couch game must have been good because he got so many big offers that Ryan could only have dreamed of. He almost was A-List in the 2000s with high-profile like The Black Dahlia and Hollywood Homicide despite the poor reviews. His best role to me was in stuff like 40 Days of Night and Penny Dreadful. His flat affect works well in gothic stuff.
