Favorite store-bought soup brand?

I really enjoy homemade soups, but I can never find anything worth eating from a grocery store, except maybe Panera’s Tomato Basil Bisque in the refrigerated deli section.

Do you have a canned or refrigerated soup that you love? Do you add anything to it like additional seasoning, vegetables, cream, etc.??

I don't buy store-bough soup very often. The ones I like are Costco's lobster bisque and Progresso's lentil soup.

Oh, and once in a while I need that Lipton boxed noodle soup (the kind that does not have bits of chicken, just the broth and noodles). I eat that with grilled cheese sandwich, and a side of regular potato chips, and french onion dip. So salty, so good.

Campbell’s Chunky Chicken Corn Chowder is actually a very passable soup. A perfect ‘sad eating’ kind of dish.

I like the Alessi dried soup mixes, especially the Tuscan white bean (zuppa Toscana) and the chicken noodle (brodo di pollo). They're very inexpensive, too.

Not as good as from scratch, but easy to doctor up with fresh herbs, olive oil, parmesan, etc. I usually add fresh chicken to the brodo di pollo.

I don't like most canned soup and the refrigerated grocery store soups are generally overpriced and lackluster.

Lipton Chicken Noodle in a packet. My mother used to make it but I tidge it up with one egg with a little tamari sauce, beaten, fresh tomato, chopped onion, chopped garlic, Irish Cheddar, and a piece of sourdough toast.

I prefer thick soups so I really like Campbell's Chunky Chicken Dumpling Soup. I add an extra small can of chicken breast because I like it more meaty and more peas.
