‘The Good Son’ (1993)- did the mom make the right choice in the end?
Did you like this movie? I liked it a lot when I finally got to see it. I was 6 when this came out and my mom wouldn’t let me watch it. She did let me watch it when I was around 8 or 9 though. Idk what difference those 2/3 years made, but whatever.
I loved it then, and I watched it again recently for the first time since the 90s, and liked it. Macaulay Culkin is really an evil little shit in this one. The ice skating scene game me anxiety and annoyed me all the same.

Why did his career tanked? He was a good actor like this movie shows.

It didn't tank. He's been working consistently since the 90's. He was just in the latest season of American Horror Story and he'll probably be back for more. He works when he wants to.

R2 No, it did tank. And it tanked because he wasn’t a cute kid anymore and as such it was hard for him to get roles. His issues with drugs didn’t help. He has been able to sort of craft himself as an indie film figure due to roles such as Party Monster, but it is a lie to say he works whenever he wants. AHS isn’t exactly A list.

R3 doesn’t know the difference between someone’s career tanking and someone choosing to not work…

Daniel Radcliffe is somebody who works when he wants to. Culkin is a has been who takes what he can get.

No r6 lmao. You never know what you’re speaking about. It’s so impressive how often you speak without knowing what you’re speaking about. You said the same shit about the Olsen twins, who are ridiculously rich.

its amazing how little these 90 minute thrillers had to offer. there's no genuine surprises and most of us had seen trailers and clips on TV over and over before seeing the films in theaters so we knew what was coming throughout most of the movie. i actually liked this ending at the time but its not really a difficult choice on any level.

She chose to save Kieran over MacCauley? Not exactly a Sophie’s Choice.

Mothers always make the right choice in the end.

She made the wrong choice at the beauty parlor, that's for sure.

Yes, she made the right choice. I used to love this movie as a kid and i think it still holds up. But the parents are complete morons.

She made the right choice, one of the YouTube comments sums it up well:
[quote]If we're being honest here, she probably saved a lot of other people's lives by letting Henry fall
