I don't think being gay hurts his career. It's also because Taylor is not white. Hollywood doesn't have space for you if you're not white or Black. He looks like a lot of Mexicans and Central Americans I know. Taylor could do more martial arts or action films, they are actually far more colorblind in casting. Lou Diamond Phillips, Keanu Reeves, Vin Diesel, The Rock and Rick Yune made a niche for themselves in action and genre films. The other option would be TV, he's eye candy, so no shortage of TV roles for him. But I think he's content with what he has. He made enough money.

Hillsong is the big church they belong to, but there are quite a few others in LA they all attend. But Jason hosts (or at least used to) the big Wednesday bible study at the Beverly Hills Hotel all these types used to attend. I'm always a bit suspicious of these types because they act like they're young and somewhat progressive in their views while working in Hollywood (esp. around the LGBT issue), but the churches they attend are all connected to that hardcore Evangelical/Pentecostal network around the world that has shady as hell ties to politics, scandals, and all hold socially conservative interpretations of scripture. But they never talk about that part, or cop to it...

ps. I remember watching that wedding special of Jason Kennedy that followed the planning of their wedding. His "wife" was surprisingly chill, but Jason was the biggest queen through the whole process. It was so bizarre but so obvious.
