I know that some creepy crawlies like dl favorite spiders are actually good to have around and I’m trying to find the magic in silverfish. I found one in my bathtub. What is their secret bug job?
Silverfish what are they good for?

Giving the spider whose job it is to be stuck in your bathtub a day off.

Silverfish largely only eat insects that are already dead. Their prime choice of meals starches and cellulose. They will eat paper, book bindings, leather, hair, crumbs, etc...
You tend to see them in showers or baths because human hair and skin bits can be found there for meals.
