I was a big ATWT watcher for years. Lisa was entertaining, but ATWT had a comparatively high number of “older” ladies and the writers didn’t give any of them TOO much storyline towards the final 10 years or so of the show (e.g. Lucinda, Nancy, Kim, Barbara, Emma, Susan). The main storylines were held by the younger actresses (Lily/Rose, Carly, Katie, Emily, Rosanna).

Assisted living does not have to be a nightmare. My mother has lived in two assisted living facilities over the past three years and has had a high quality of life.

So, in addition to her brother, she likely has other family nearby.

I also grew up in Western N.C. and am also the child of a Methodist minister so when I was fortunate enough to speak with her we talked a lot about those connections. She mentioned two brothers, if I remember correctly, and some nephews and nieces and their offspring. The last time I got to meet her was at the Paley Center event near the end of ATWT. She spoke very fondly of the N.C. and her hopes to return. I’m thrilled to see how well she is doing. Some reports would lead you to believe she was just sitting around in her own sick.
