I heard her talk about him in an interview semi-recently. She said something like he's a true original and she was attracted to his immense creativity. Maybe they don't have a lot in common or there wasn't enough mutual sexual attraction. They probably have very different values. He's a self-made guy from Canada and she has a famous Hollywood family.

I would guess that he made a few million during his MTV heyday. He probably invested the money and lives frugally. He definitely doesn't have a high-profile celebrity lifestyle.

They were a cute couple. Seemed sweet together. Sad it didn't last, though it was likely just another Hollywood marriage PR stunt. Amazing how quickly his star faded. His show was so popular with teens and started a trend, but was totally eclipsed by Jack Ass. His brand of humor was immediately dated and too tame once Jack Ass came on the scene and that stupid Ashton Kutcher "Punked" show. Tom started the trend but was left in the dust, seeming too weird and sensitive for the crueler pranks that became popular in the day. Drew abandoning him seemed part of that trend of his star fading.

Tom is actually the one who filed for divorce.

He sold his house and moved to a log cabin in Canada. It seems like all he does is upload videos of himself walking/driving around in the woods and playing creepy piano music for hours at a time.

During her last Stern interview, she asked why she married Green. Obviously, she said he made her laugh. Sometimes it's not about looks.

Out of all the talk show hosts to call insincere and fake I'd say Drew was one of the least of those. Kelly Clarkson on the other hand is worse than Jimmy Fallon being over the top with insincerity and laughing at every little thing their guests say. The other day Kelly Clarkson had Jimmy Fallon on her show and the two of them together was a painful display of fake groveling over each other. Sickening.

If you want to hear about what Tom is doing he did do a recent interview on Justin Long's podcast. It was interesting because they both had been involved with Drew.

He was huge at the time he got cancer, but when he wasn't committing to a return date, MTV brought in Jackass to fill the vacuum. They had been doing a much more edgy version of what Tom was doing all along—only confined to Big Brother magazine and self-produced videos that only sold at skate shops—so it wasn't actually the direct ripoff people make it out to be. Still, you can kind of understand why he'd by bitter.

Marriage; shitty movies; house burns down; divorce. Then he went back to MTV and did a special which was supposed to restore him to his former glory, but it was just cringeworthy. MTV followed up with a talk show that was canceled after a few weeks.

He went on to do a streaming talk show from his house and lost a ton of money paying for bandwidth, so that never really took off. While he was doing it, though, he had Joe Rogan on as a guest and told him, "This is the future! You should be doing this!" We all know where that went....for Joe Rogan.

After that it was just series of bad TV appearances — Celebrity Ghost Stories, Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother, etc. He started dating a Vegas realtor (a [italic]very[/italic] Vegas realtor) and had a short-lived casino stand-up show and became joined at the hip with Andrew Dice Clay.

When the Vegas show was canceled, he started traveling and did okay with stand-up for a while. The pandemic put an end to that which led to driving around in a van and uploading depressing videos from the desert and now even more depressing videos from his log cabin. Sadder still are the videos trying to recreate what he did 20+ years ago as people avert their eyes and rush past him.

Kelly Clarkson is so corn pone now it is cringy. I think she has a great voice but her good old girl over the top personality is grating.

I think Penny Marshall said Drew was a nightmare to direct in Boys Don't Cry.

If you watch old episodes of the Tom Green Show, you see his father. It's shocking how Tom has aged in comparison to his father. Tom's father on the show looks way, way younger than Tom does now. I am not as bad off as R11 but there’s something appealing about him. He seemed like a sweet combination of funny, sincere, and intense—like if he was into you, he’d be REALLY into you. But once you get with that kind of guy it does seem easy to flip into feeling like he’s needy for you in an unappealing way.

Drew seems like a hippy-dippy moon/flower child type who never grew up. Tom seems too serious and too Canadian. I also think Drew likes the ladies as well as men.

r49 Investments. Money makes money. As long as they aren't drug addicts/gamblers/total drunks, if you just invest a million bucks in the 1950's? Just conservative investments, real estate, etc. Real estate alone. Think about just buying some properties in LA/Malibu in the 1960's, 70's, before real estate values skyrocketed.

I'm not sure her family did this or not, but she's been working steadily for many years anyway. But old money - if handled properly by trained accountants/portfolio managers would have exploded in the 80's, again in the late 90's, and finally real estate in the 2000's. Passive residual income that just grows over time.

All of Hollywood wanted him, offering him starring roles in big movies and even creative control of the movies he starred in. Then, he used creative control that to make "Freddy Got Fingered"--a huge box office disappointment in earnings and reviews. It was widely panned as the worst movie of the year. His star fell quickly. It would have been bad for her career to be linked to him after that.

Totally R75. I always assumed she was just a typical air head LA type but when I watched her show Santa Clarita Diet I started watching past interviews of her. She's MUCH smarter than I gave her credit for, very articulate and self aware and her intelligence is probably the only reason she's still alive today. A dumber girl would have fallen apart given the same upbringing.
