The Love Witch (2016)

If there was ever a movie that made me miss 35mm film it is one. The budget was $200k and most of it must have been spent on film stock. How utterly beautiful it looked!

The actress looked gorgeous and I even got used to her sub-Lana Del Rey sing-song speaking voice.

Loved it.

I saw this in the theater and really enjoyed it. The re-creation of that late mid century look and feel is uncanny.

The cinematographer is also behind The Marvellous Mrs Maisel

The actress is far more convincing to me as a 1960s siren than Lana Del Rey ever could pull off.
