What's going on with AwardsWatch/AwardsWorthy this year?
I knew those queens always had raging boners for basic white women with facial paralysis, but I've never seen anything like their collective orgasm for Kristen Stewart. Absolutely not a single less than ecstatic word can be said about her without a whole bunch of them ganging up on you. She's been compared with Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock and hell even Anthony Hopkins and has somehow remained undefeated in all head to heads.
So what is so special about this basic white girl with perpetually chapped lips and reads every line like she's still getting over the cold she got 20 years ago, whose crowning achievement since The Twilight Saga has been that haircut in that Charlie's Angels remake? Do we really have enough reasons to believe that Hollywood is tripping over themselves to give her an Oscar?

I really don’t understand it either. They love them some basic white women (see also: JLaw)

I only go into the Best Actress thread for comic relief these days. Some of them are currently apologizing to Stewart on behalf of those who have the audacity to discuss the chances of other contenders. The whole place's turned into a full-blown cult.

If I could describe [italic]Spencer[/italic] in one word, it would be serious. Then again, I could also use the words sombre, intense and bloody suffocating.
Regardless, Stewart deserves an Oscar nomination.

Arguably the saddest group of people on the Internet. At least the 4chan incels have youth on their side and could theoretically turn it around. AW is just a bunch of middle to retirement age gay incels that literally spend tens of hours on a weekday bitchfighting over actresses.

They're right about Stewart though.

OP, I'm sorry you lost that role to her. But you'll get something soon. Maybe.

For those who have seen it, is she really THAT good?
My expectations were low but I only hear raves.

R9 You know how Diana used to tilt her head in a timid yet graceful manner when she felt shy or nervous? Stewart made it look like she had a spinal injury.
Kinda sums up the entire performance.

They are doing the most over her SAG snub. I thought the Jennifer Lawrence fans were bad, but the KStew fans are on a whole other level.

Oh dear, she's quite unattractive with that dead-panned delivery and look.
You're playing with us, right?

Stewart was unbelievably bad. One of the worst performances I’ve seen in years. She whispers. Has the bizarre tics (aka spinal injuries). Flat affect and monotone when speaking. Seems like she is bored and too cool for school: needs to get off the set pronto so she can hang with her girl. Watching her made me want to forgo Spencer completely. And I’m not a Stewart hater. Actually was neutral about her beforehand.
Don’t Get it. Where is all the acting prowess people keep claiming?
Didn’t help that Spencer was the worst film I’ve seen thus far of the 2021 set.

Terrible actress. I believe it is the lesbians here who seem to be so captivated by her.

Her fans are just acting out like they're supposed to do, but what's the matter with all the raving mad critics who keep giving her one award after another? Are they really insane and delusional?

R15 The only critic groups that matter are New York, Los Angeles, and National Society. People in these group actually write for national publications, and they have enough prestige and influence to do whatever they want regardless of the Oscar season. None of these groups have given Stewart the time of day.
The so-called regionals, i.e. Nebraska and Oklahoma, are essentially Twitter awards. These groups are so laughably irrelevant that they have to bend over backwards to please Film Twitter for five minutes of attention once a year. This is where Stewart has dominated.
