Best Character in King of the Hill

So much to choose from. I'd say Bill Dauterive. DLer, for sure.

As far as best episodes, I'd say the ones that are Dale-centric tend to be very good.

Bobby is my favorite, but the clip in the OP is hilarious.

That was one of the best shows ever. Dale Gribble, a man suspicious about everything except the fact that his son looks nothing like him, might have been the greatest character, but in retrospect he was disturbingly prophetic. Now he would be an ardent anti-vaxxer and Q-anon believer. The tendencies were there.

The show was great but for some reason in the last few seasons became very right wing. And the final episode with Bobby becoming a Hank Mimi-Me was ridiculous.

I vote for the rapist dolphin that took Hank's virginity in the tank.

King of the Hill is so much better than The Simpsons. I can't even watch the classic Simpsons episodes anymore, it's too much. King of the Hill gets better and better each time I watch it.

Both Peggy and Bobby were brilliant creations. They were so multi-dimensional.

But I should note LuAnn often got the very best lines: "Bobby, don't you know that models are some of the happiest people on Earth?"

Well, what was I supposed to do, not dance with a dog?

IMO, Luann was a stupid character, as was the wife of Grandpa Cotton Hill.

Luann did have some good episodes, though. Like the Born-Again Virgin episode.

Luann is SUPPOSED to be stupid.

Too stupid, though, almost as bad as Kelly Bundy.

R4 some of the best episodes revolves around the John Redcorn/Nancy affair.

Peggy was the best character IMHO. She’s was utterly obnoxious but that was what made her so damn funny.

“Bobby! You didn’t finish your arrrrrrroz con cheekin”.

I liked Peggy. Kathy Najimy created a great voice for her.

I liked how oblivious she seemed about her limitations as a Spanish teacher.

Let's not forget Dale's gay daddy, Bug Gribble.

Bobby in A Beer Can Named Desire is one of my favorite things ever.

Yeah, Peggy was an obnoxious and great character with her delusions of grandeur.

R21, don't forget big manly feet that inspired Texas drag queens.

Neighbor Khan was pretty funny. Daughter Connie or Khannie was boring like Lisa Simpson.

Seems a bit of an insult to Gilbert to compare him to Miss Lindz.

He'd absolutely be a Datalounger, though. When he revealed to Bill which of the three ladies vying for his attention was his biological cousin, she hissed at him, and he, of course, hissed back.

Luanne Platter: I am a proud, ignorant woman and no one is going to change that!

An episode I've always loved is the one with the "Boggle" championship, where Peggy goes convinced (as usual) she's better than anyone else, but loses her first game and has to go down to the very bottom of the rankings to play the Boggle-Playing Chicken. Laurie Metcalf does the voice of her nemesis who has an absolutely hilarious evil laugh in the episode.

I also love when Bobby becomes woke about Thanksgiving, and goes to the neighborhood festivities just to guilt everyone about what he calls "Thanks-TAKING." It's a great parody of the way woke h.s. and college students become so rigid and inflexible and angry when they protest something.

"Texas City Twister" was a good episode. Setting was Luanne's old trailer at the Shiny Pines Trailer Park. Hank gets caught up in the tornado and all his clothes (including his underpants) were blown off his body until he was stark naked.

Afterwards, Luanne said: "Remember when we saw Uncle Hank naked?" Both Hank and Peggy claim that Hank was not seen naked in the tornado.

How could you forget Leanne Platter vs Peggy.

Proof that Bobby was a DLer. "Propaniacs."
