I read the novel MOTHERING SUNDAY by Graham Swift, which is the source of the film and it's brilliant. I loved it and can't wait to see the film. Glenda Jackson plays the elderly version of the maid 70 years later.

The book is short, really more of a novella, with little dialogue but with very evocative descriptions of time (1924) and place (English countryside). Olivia Colman's character is barely present so I'll be curious to see how they've presumably expanded the role for her.
