This song IS my heart. It reminds me of my life, my teenage mother, my fathers possible kids I don’t know, my father leaving and being ok with it.
Adrienne humanized her parents in this song which as children we don’t always do. When we’re adults we can say oooh that’s why they fucked up, life’s hard.
