Your favourite melon? Do you have any interesting recipes/methods of preparation?

Cantaloupe for me, followed by honeydew. No special means of preparing them, though I do like a little bit of vanilla ice cream with cantaloupe every now and then.

Are you middle-class, R3?

Sure, OP - take one watermelon, a bottle of vodka and a syringe.

Inject the contents of the bottle of vodka into the watermelon using the syringe.

Refrigerate until chilled, then eat.

Perfect for getting that summer bbq off with a bang!

A small amount of cantaloupe is good with peaches and carrots in smoothies.

Prosciutto with cantaloupe. Yummy.

Cantaloupe gelato in Italy. The best.

Salt on cantaloupe and watermelon is the best way to eat it.

Watermelon and cantaloupe are my favorites. All I need is a salt shaker and I'm happy with either.

I'm probably in a very small minority. I hate melons. I think it's their "perfumey" nature. And I burp away later and still taste it.
