Kyle kept talking about her scene and how she had to escape Michael while in a swamp, and how handlers were checking for crocodiles. It sounded very exciting but nowhere to be found? Maybe they'll do an extended cut.

The way this film was edited, it likes they removed tons of stuff to keep it short. This probably should've been two movies to add more character development. We know NOTHING about Lindsey, MCH, or others....

It was very obvious there was footage cut. When Lindsey escapes she is hiding by a tree and MM walks away. Later when she is found by the group she is dirty laying on the ground, injured and bloody.

A whole thing was cut.

Every problem with these reboot directly stems from the fact that they try to sever any connection between MM and Laurie. In the first plot, it was the idiotic plot with Dr. Sartain and in this one, it's the fact that instead of going after Laurie in the hospital, he decides to go home. WTF? Why does he need to go home? This decision ends up being one of the stupidest in the franchise.

I don’t see the issue with him going home.

Regarding the mistaken identity of Michael Myers. That was the whole point that the mob didn't care about the truth. They just wanted to kill someone. Remember, evil dies tonight! It was obvious to everybody that he wasn't Myers, but the angry mob was out for blood and blinded by rage.

R18 MM likes to stalk and kill his victims. If all he wanted was to stare out of a window, he could've remained a mental patient.

They changed a number of things, apparently—all for the worse. The original ending was much better.

I get all of the negative reactions but I think it was a fun movie experience. The mask alone is the best it has ever been in the franchise. It's perfect IMO.

I hate how everyone was out for blood and then when facing Michael they immediately aim to wound - NOT kill. Just chop his fucking head off - it’s not that difficult! Especially hated that scene with Lonnie, his son and Allyson.

That being said - I enjoyed the movie! I think I’ll watch it again and definitely more than the last one - which was more annoying teens/kids. Plus, I loved what Big John and Little John did with the place - very Tasteful Friends!

I liked the Cameron/Allyson scene. Lonnie died off screen.

Lonnie, his son and Allyson are ready to take down Michael and then…split up?!? Then Allyson decides to put down her shotgun to pull a knife out of a dead body? Then she’s slow to react when her boyfriend yells out.

What’s to like about that scene r39? Hated it!

Also - how many murders have been described where the victim was almost completely decapitated with a knife? A lot…

I'm starting to think they go into production on these movies without a finished script. David Gordon Green said in an interview that he's still not sure exactly where Halloween Ends is going and they're supposed to start shooting in January or February. Not sure how that can possibly bode well. Seems to me like they barely had enough material for just one sequel, but when that was a hit, they were forced into writing two more and had no direction to take the story.

John Carpenter is a horrible director. Most of his movies are dull, ugly, and borderline unwatchable. I just watched Prince of Darkness and it was awful dreck. This was released the same year as Hellraiser and Predator came out. Watch those and then watch PoD. His work is always amateur hour. Sure, Hellraiser was cheaply made but it's weird, scary, and interesting.

I think he's self-aware enough to have stepped back from directing...even though all of his contemporaries are still going strong.
