I just had the most wonderful hotcakes and sausage from McDonalds.

Why would anyone make them at home, when you can just buy them?

And it's something like five dollars.

Soft, fluffy pancakes, sweet sausage patty, and a drink.

There's really no reason to cook breakfast at home. Ever.

by Anonymousreply 83October 18, 2021 11:21 PM

Some dishes are inconvenient to make at home. Frying a sausage or two and pancake mix aren't

by Anonymousreply 1October 15, 2021 6:58 PM

I agree with you, OP, after having tried it the first time last weekend.

by Anonymousreply 2October 15, 2021 7:04 PM

Do hot cakes burn you?

by Anonymousreply 3October 15, 2021 7:04 PM

Their pancakes have always been disgusting to me.

It might be a bit of work, but there’s no beating the Giant Sunday Pancakes recipe (look it up), you just have to reduce the amount of sugar.

I will say that a Sausage McMuffin (or similar breakfast sandwich from McDonald’s) is indeed good and better than making the equivalent at home.

by Anonymousreply 4October 15, 2021 7:05 PM

Dataloungers spend their five dollars on this website.

by Anonymousreply 5October 15, 2021 7:06 PM

I love McD’s sausage biscuit, I assume because it’s Frankenfood designed in a lab to be irresistible.

by Anonymousreply 6October 15, 2021 7:06 PM

McDonalds used to have Biscuits and Gravy which were great. Their breakfast burrito is good too.

by Anonymousreply 7October 15, 2021 7:07 PM

Now you need to try the ones from Denny's OP. Simply the best pancakes I've ever had.

by Anonymousreply 8October 15, 2021 7:07 PM

We look forward to seeing you again!

by Anonymousreply 9October 15, 2021 7:11 PM

[quote] Now you need to try the ones from Denny's OP. Simply the best pancakes I've ever had.

I would, but Denny's is a sit-down restaurant.

I got my McD's hotcakes and sausage in less than a minute.

And it was hot and good. You really can't beat that.

by Anonymousreply 10October 15, 2021 7:21 PM

You're easily satisfied, OP.

by Anonymousreply 11October 15, 2021 7:23 PM

I'm not high maintenance, if that's what you mean, R11.

I'm a very simple person. I don't require much to be happy.

by Anonymousreply 12October 15, 2021 7:25 PM

Very rarely eat fast food...I live in LA and have to look amazing!

by Anonymousreply 13October 15, 2021 7:25 PM

I used to go in a couple of times a month for the pancake breakfast. Thanks for reminding me how good they were, OP.

Looks like I'll be waddling into MickeyD's this weekend. Timber!

by Anonymousreply 14October 15, 2021 7:26 PM

McDonalds.flavors based on sugar and fat.

by Anonymousreply 15October 15, 2021 7:27 PM

Ain't gonna lie. McDonald's makes a delicious biscuit. UNLESS you happen to get a dry one (it happens).

by Anonymousreply 16October 15, 2021 7:30 PM

[quote] And it was hot and good. You really can't beat that.

If it was hot and good, I wouldn’t need to beat it.

by Anonymousreply 17October 15, 2021 7:32 PM

Not gonna lie, the deluxe breakfast is very good. You get everything.

The pancakes are very good.

I haven’t been in ages, tho.

We buy IHOP now.

The pancakes at McDonald’s taste rubbery to me…like the frozen boxed pancakes at the grocery store that go in the microwave. I do like the egg McMuffins though, and they are only 300 calories. It’s nice to have something somewhat low calorie and filling when I’m traveling.

by Anonymousreply 23October 15, 2021 7:59 PM

Yesterday I was going to go through the McDonald's drive thru for lunch, but at the last minute I changed my mind and got a salad to go from a fancy takeaway place. I probably spent $7 more on the salad than I would have on Mickey D's but it still makes me a ...

by Anonymousreply 24October 15, 2021 8:01 PM

LOL, OP.

by Anonymousreply 25October 15, 2021 8:01 PM

R13 too funny, we’re headed to LA for vacation in December and my husband has us on a strict diet already.

I’m not going to be the fat whore there!

by Anonymousreply 26October 15, 2021 8:03 PM

[quote] The pancakes at McDonald’s taste rubbery to me…

Sometimes they are.

But the ones that I had this morning were very soft and fluffy. Better than anything I could ever make.

It was more than worth the five bucks.

Plus, it came with sausage and a drink too.

by Anonymousreply 27October 15, 2021 8:03 PM

Because homemade cakes and bacon with sausage tastes okay if you cook it right.

by Anonymousreply 28October 15, 2021 8:05 PM

R23 Next time I'll put some spinach and onions.

What is your background that you are so entitled to make judgments, R39?

by Anonymousreply 40October 16, 2021 12:04 AM

My background is such that I do not patronize fast food establishments or chains.

I love nothing at McDonald’s except for their salads and the pancakes/scrambled eggs breakfast. Hidden guilty pleasures.

by Anonymousreply 45October 16, 2021 1:40 AM

Do they still stop serving breakfast at 11AM? I know where I'll be tomorrow morning.

by Anonymousreply 46October 16, 2021 2:11 AM

Bring your own bottomless mimosas, r46.

by Anonymousreply 47October 16, 2021 4:24 AM

Warren Buffett eats McDonald’s every day. I’ll happily live in his trailer.

by Anonymousreply 48October 16, 2021 4:27 AM

Tell us how it goes, R46!

by Anonymousreply 49October 16, 2021 5:00 AM

How can you put that garbage in your body? My breakfast was an egg white omelet with chopped broccoli and ground pepper with a slice of (unbuttered) Ezekiel toast, and unsweetened Kefir to drink. You couldn't pay me enough to eat that saturated fat/calorie/carb/chemical-laden "food" at McDonalds or any other fast "food" establishment, My arteries could get clogged just from reading this thread.

by Anonymousreply 50October 16, 2021 5:36 AM

Hardee's always have the best breakfast bisquits. If I could I'd eat them every day.

by Anonymousreply 51October 16, 2021 5:39 AM

Who still eats McDonald’s?

by Anonymousreply 52October 16, 2021 5:41 AM

I make an egg McMuffin most days for breakfast, usually meatless but occasionally I toss a couple bacon slices or a piece of ham. Cheese, always.

by Anonymousreply 53October 16, 2021 5:55 AM

Don’t forget the orange Hi-C. It’s back.

by Anonymousreply 54October 16, 2021 6:01 AM

R50 you sound like an absolute BORE.

You reek of self-righteousness.

by Anonymousreply 55October 16, 2021 6:06 AM

by Anonymousreply 56October 16, 2021 6:30 AM

All that fat and sodium in one serving? I won't settle for "satisfying" or "fills me up". It's going to need to be an almost religious experience.

by Anonymousreply 57October 16, 2021 7:30 AM

I always order extra sausage on the side, with my pancakes.

McDonald's has the best sausage patties.

You can buy a whole of boxes of frozen waffles which are always better than pancakes and a box of frozen sausage links and still have money left over from a $5 dollar bill and you don't even have to leave the house or wait in a line.

by Anonymousreply 74October 16, 2021 10:22 PM

You can also make an egg & English Muffin sandwich at home cheaper than going to McDonalds.

by Anonymousreply 80October 18, 2021 8:44 PM

Do you realize all the chemicals you're putting in your body with this junk food? Not only do you up your risk for cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc., these food make you obese, which makes you unfuckable. So besides the momentary pleasure of eating your emotions with this "food," what benefit could you possibly get?

by Anonymousreply 81October 18, 2021 11:09 PM

Mickey D's Bacon Egg and Cheese biscuit is absolute heaven when you need to move fast. I love them, probably eat them once or twice a month.

by Anonymousreply 82October 18, 2021 11:18 PM
