Brigitte Bardot
Celebrities who would’ve benefitted from dying young
by Anonymous | reply 87 | October 17, 2021 11:31 PM |
Well, since she never made a movie until she was 33, I'll give you three guesses.

R1 Madonna?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 15, 2021 2:05 AM |

Donald Trump.

I saw a Joan Jett live show video recently.
Flabby arms and a belly in a black tank top. Her face work isn't good either.
Loved her back in the day but things have taken a turn.

by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 15, 2021 2:20 AM |
Morrissey is actually hotter as a middle aged man than as a young man.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 15, 2021 2:22 AM |
R8 I mentioned him because if he died at his peak he wouldn’t be called a bigot.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 15, 2021 2:23 AM |
R5 Wow, you inspired me to search - I'm bummed that I did. Why would she wear something so unflattering?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 15, 2021 2:23 AM |
Liza. Of course.

I wonder what would have happened if John Lennon and Paul McCartney had swapped fates…
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 15, 2021 2:39 AM |
R18 John Lennon is lucky he died when he died. He would’ve been cancelled today.

No r27, she was batshit, young or old.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 15, 2021 2:49 AM |
Britney. I know this is an awful thing to say, but I cannot stand to look at her joker-esque post surgery face; I actually think it makes her look even crazier. Also, does any sane person believe her story will have a happy ending? We're in for a long, painful 'sad last days'.

Stephen Collins.

Dying young does have its benefits
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 15, 2021 3:06 AM |
Shelley Winters
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 15, 2021 3:06 AM |
R41 45 is pretty young, unless you mean before the car accident.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 15, 2021 3:07 AM |
R43 I thought DL was delighted Shelley Winters got to grow old.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 15, 2021 3:09 AM |
Yeah, I meant before the car accident, instead of drinking himself to an early death for years afterwards.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 15, 2021 3:09 AM |
Harry
Julia Roberts (2003-ish would have been the perfect time for her to go)
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 15, 2021 4:12 AM |
M should've been aborted.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 15, 2021 5:33 AM |
There are none. You have a warped view of celebrity. Find a therapist.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 15, 2021 5:46 AM |
Michael Jackson
by Anonymous | reply 50 | October 15, 2021 6:08 AM |
R50 He’s already benefited from dying in 2009.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | October 15, 2021 2:46 PM |
Had Montgomery Clift died in his car accident and not a drunken, outcast mess ten years later, he would have been remembered like James Dean.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 15, 2021 4:50 PM |
By the time Jackson died in 2009, his legend had deteriorated. Had he died in the 80s, he'd be a god.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | October 15, 2021 6:08 PM |
Eric Clapton
by Anonymous | reply 54 | October 17, 2021 3:51 AM |
David Lee Roth.
As I said on the other thread, everything that made him a blast as a young front man was ridiculous in an older man.

Angelina Jolie

How about celebrities who DID benefit from dying young-
Marylin Monroe and James Dean
by Anonymous | reply 60 | October 17, 2021 3:13 PM |
BARBRA STREISAND OWNS this thread!
Just think, The Way We Were comes out and Babs has a seizure and drops dead. Wins a posthumous Oscar for best Actress. Hailed (again) for all of her magnificent pre-1970s recordings, TV and stage work. Not soiled by A Star is Born, Yentl or Jon Peters. No earnest Barbra campaigning for the Earth or other causes. No stately elder self absorbed Barbra. It would be heaven!
by Anonymous | reply 61 | October 17, 2021 3:14 PM |
Ronald and Nancy Reagan
by Anonymous | reply 62 | October 17, 2021 3:15 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 63 | October 17, 2021 3:33 PM |
R60 Kurt Cobain
by Anonymous | reply 64 | October 17, 2021 3:36 PM |
Whitney should have died earlier than the early she did die at. Just after The Bodyguard. No haggard bewigged Whitney.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | October 17, 2021 3:58 PM |
Elvis a little earlier too, before he became bloated and sweaty
by Anonymous | reply 66 | October 17, 2021 3:58 PM |
Monroe died at just the right time.....eternally youthful, the downward spiral into middle age bloat and drug mess would not have been pretty.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | October 17, 2021 4:01 PM |
Peter Lawford stayed too long at the party
by Anonymous | reply 68 | October 17, 2021 4:01 PM |
Judy should have gone after OZ
by Anonymous | reply 69 | October 17, 2021 4:02 PM |
James Dean would have been TOTALLY washed up as a box office attraction by the late 60's if he had lived. By the early 1970's he'd be appearing in ALL STAR disaster movies like The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | October 17, 2021 4:36 PM |
r69, what are you shaying!
by Anonymous | reply 71 | October 17, 2021 4:38 PM |
R60 Tired of DL shitting on Dean. He was a gifted young actor and would’ve continued to hone his craft and give great performances had he not died young. Martin Sheen based his characterization of Kit Carruthers in Terrence Malick’s Badlands on Dean. I can easily imagine Dean in that role.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | October 17, 2021 4:44 PM |
No, R69, Judy should’ve gone after her 1964 concert at the London Palladium.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | October 17, 2021 4:48 PM |
Did David Bowie ever address the allegations of having sex with multiple teenaged groupies in the 70’s?
by Anonymous | reply 74 | October 17, 2021 4:55 PM |
If Ellen had died two years ago her reputation wouldn’t have been tainted.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | October 17, 2021 5:00 PM |
Brando, DiCaprio, Depp
by Anonymous | reply 76 | October 17, 2021 5:03 PM |
72- Big Deal. He sits there mumbling a few lines while smoking a cigarette 🚬
by Anonymous | reply 77 | October 17, 2021 5:13 PM |
R77 That was meant for you
by Anonymous | reply 79 | October 17, 2021 5:14 PM |
DiCaprio is one of the few movie stars and box office draws we have left, there is no need for him to die young.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | October 17, 2021 5:15 PM |
Joan Crawford
by Anonymous | reply 81 | October 17, 2021 5:24 PM |
Much as I love her, Dame Liz Taylor would've benefitted tremendously if she'd passed away whilst filming 'Cleopatra'. She would've still gotten the Oscar for 'Butterfield 8', and her heirs would've licensed her images for decades a la Monroe, James Dean, etc. As it was, she descended into alcoholism with Dick Burton, and lucked out with the drugstore perfume empire. Her heirs could've still licensed the perfume and most likely doubled the profits from the sentimental value of young, dead Liz. (Dame Liz usually used younger pics of herself in adverts of the perfumes, anyway.)
by Anonymous | reply 82 | October 17, 2021 5:25 PM |
R82, why not let her live until her more deserved Oscar for Virginia Woolf?!
by Anonymous | reply 83 | October 17, 2021 6:05 PM |
Not that I wish anyone dead but I think Charlie Sheen’s legacy could have been saved by an early death. Maybe in the early years of Two and a Half Men.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | October 17, 2021 6:11 PM |
Armie Hammer
by Anonymous | reply 85 | October 17, 2021 8:56 PM |
[quote]No, [R69], Judy should’ve gone after her 1964 concert at the London Palladium.
Absolutely not, maybe after A Star is Born ten years earlier. That way we won't have to live through blimp Judy.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | October 17, 2021 10:40 PM |
R70 I think that if James Dead had lived, he'd have ended up with Dennis Hopper's career.
