It's nice to see a homegrown native traitor again. The Chinese professors in American universities seemed to have taken over the market.
Reading between the lines I suspect he thought he was selling nuke secrets to Israel, but Mossad tipped off FBI.

That’s Julius and Ethel Rosenberg level espionage.

OP, read the first sentence of the article. They are from MARYLAND.

Why won’t they say which country?

Now it all makes sense. And they are from Maryland, not Virginia.

The social media account for Diana revealed that she supports 'The Resistance' and Hillary Clinton, and has shared performative posts about the Black Lives Matter movement and 'stopping Donald Trump.'
On July 28, she asked for a babysitter on Facebook to watch her children early on Saturday morning for up to five to six hours.
She then posted an update to the original post, only visible to friends, with the word '*FOUND*', implying a babysitter had been organized.

One retweet from the her account in 2017, just days after Trump's inauguration, shows a photo saying, 'To the rest of the world, due to an insufficient amount of moral courage, America is temporarily out of order. We hope to restore service as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we in the resistance movement join hands with those around the world who realize we are one people. May the forces of good be with us. #TheResistance.'
Some experts suggested that the Toebbes were trying to sell the information to France, but French officials said they were not involved in the incident, according to the New York Times.

Former graduates and current employees described Diana as a strong feminist and very liberal.
Craig Martien, 20, a 2019 alum who collaborated with Diana on a yearbook and an after-school anthropology club, said she was 'insanely smart'.
However, he said she was shocked by Trump's 2016 election and mentioned several times the possibility of moving to Australia — one of six countries that currently possesses nuclear submarines.
'She said she couldn't stand the current state of politics and actually had found some job opportunities over there,' he said.
One Facebook post on Diana's account said 'Women Can Stop Trump;' while other profile pictures feature failed 2016 presidential candidate Hilary Clinton's campaign symbol; a photo of the transgender flag; and various profile photos supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Walter Mondale, the VP under Jimmy Carter, always used to say "NEW-kyuh-ler."
Carter himself pronounced it "NEW-kuh-ler."
|by Anonymous||reply 7||October 12, 2021 6:27 PM|
I pronounce it like it's spelled...nu-cleer.

Interesting that the wife is anti-Trump but just as treasonous. Two sides of the same coin.
If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s a traitor. I hope they do them just like they did the Rosenbergs.

My kid had a SCIENCE teacher who pronounced it “Nucular”. I asked how she’d pronounce “nucleus” - “nuculus”?

Welcome to the entire GOP.
And does anyone doubt Trump would do the same for the right price or just tell him you heard he's amazing at sex.

OP, I love that you blamed this on Virginia. Thank you.

Would you be considered NJ or NY in this rivalry, R12?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||October 12, 2021 6:40 PM|
Oh, MD is definitely the NJ here. VA has the largest stick up its ass of any state in this country.

Trump hating traitors plead not guilty.
Jonathan and Diana Toebbe pleaded not guilty in federal court in West Virginia
Annapolis, Maryland couple was indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday
They are charged with communication of restricted data and conspiracy
The charges carry a potential penalty of up to life in federal prison
FBI agent said he found shredded documents, thousands in cash in their home
He also found 'go-bag' and latex gloves during course of the investigation
Reports suggest couple was motivated by greed and hatred of Donald Trump
Diana is said to have complained about her $60,000 a year teacher's salary
She also appeared serious about quitting the US in the wake of 2016 election
Couple lost their Denver home in 2008 financial crisis
FBI Agents on the day of the couple's arrest discovered $11,300 in cash, children's valid passports and a 'go-bag' that appeared prepped for a sudden departure, containing a USB flash drive and latex gloves.
They accuse Diana Toebbe of serving as a lookout for her husband at several 'dead drop' locations at which sensitive information was left behind.
The country Toebbe was looking to sell the information to has not been identified in court documents and was not disclosed in court Wednesday.
They were making a combined salary of $210,000 at the time of their arrest on October 9, with Jonathan Toebbe earning $153,000 for his work at Washington Navy Yard to design nuclear reactors for submarines.
They were arrested in West Virginia on October 9 and previously charged in a criminal complaint with violations of the Atomic Energy Act. The couple is due in federal court Wednesday for a detention hearing.
None of the friends interviewed by The Times said they expected the couple to once day be accused of betraying the United States.
Janet Monge, who worked with Ms. Toebbe as a curator at the University of Pennsylvania Penn Museum, told the newspaper: 'It just seems so out of character. Not very academic and thoughtful at all.'

When are people going to wake up and realize that the further you go on the left or the right, it becomes authoritarian and anti-American? It is NOT a straight line but a circle. Western Liberal Democracy is the center top. And opposite it, at the bottom, side by side is Communism and Fascism. They both share much, much more with each other than they do with the rest of us.
