Sunday Showdown: who rocked it better? Janet in "Black Cat" or Michael in "Beat It"?

Probably their timeless duet. I can't recall a thing about it, but it had to have been something mighty. Otherwise, my vote would have to be for 'Beat Off.'

Michael more effectively ricked the house thanks to rocker & guitar hero Eddie Van Halen.

And the fame of the song was further cemented by Weird Al Yankovich's amusing charting parody of 'Beat It' called 'Eat It'.

Everything Micahel did as an artist was golden! He was one of the best entertainers of his era!

I think Beat It is overrated and Black Cat is underrated

I love Black Cat, and it was a real departure for her with the Metal guitar riffs, and more of a rock sound, rather than dance or R&B. Her vocals were stronger, and more like Nasty Janet. No whisper coo in Black Cat.

Beat it was a great song, but there were other songs on Thriller that were better. Wanna Be Startin Something was my personal favorite
