Her father is an incredible creep, a gold digger who got his hooks into her mother Christina Onassis. She got a baby out of him, at least. Christina was so pathetic she was willing to accept the arrangement, even trying to make her husband's mistress and their love child part of an extended family that would include little Athina. But she and Roussel still parted ways. Later it was said she offered him $300,000 if he would father another child with her. But he declined.

Considering how fucked up her parents were it's amazing Athina has done as well as she had. Maybe it's because she had a calling that she can concentrate on and pay attention to: horses. I think being an equestrian has somewhat grounded her. But it still must not be easy be a woman that rich. Greedy, unscrupulous are always preying on rich women.

She went for another billionaire, Tempelsman, as her longtime companion.
