I just saw on Twitter the Daily Beast raving about how great her monologue was. Obviously she didn't write it and her delivery of it wasn't great. Also it was in poor taste to make fun of Nicole Brown Simpson's murder when supposedly her mother was best friends with Nicole. I usually watch SNL out of habit, but this was a good episode. Kim was a good sport and each skit was densely packed with funny (or funny-enough) lines.

There have been recent seasons where so many skits had a lazily written gay-themed joke or punchline. You can tell when the writers are being lazy and I'm not getting that this season.

Pete as gutter trash Machine Gun "Uhhhhh I wish could vape you!" Kelly was funny, as was Aidy and Kim's "trading lives" skit. I thought the ending was snappy and made the skit work. Monologue was good. The People's Kourt was a good way to poke funny at the Kardashian circus. Mom Kris is a better manager than cue card reader.

The lottery skit went a little long but they had a funny-enough finish with the Diana Ross bit. I hate when they phone-in the ending of a skit like they've run out of steam.

I think this is going to be a good season.
